The Selection question

I think Maxon and America's relationship will continue to grow, and America will get more and more confused as to what she wants, by the end of Elite i expect she will love Maxon but will also still love Aspen, and so they will be equal in that respect ready for the ultimate choice in the next book. Also i agree with you that Maxon will be PISSED when he finds out about Aspen, maybe he'll walk in on them or something, but i reckon that won't happen until later on in the book. Things will also kick off with the rebels,i think maybe we might find out what they want, in any case i cant wait to find out who wins and what he rebels and the palace people are hiding xxx

I think Maxon and America's relationship will definitely take a hit when Maxon finds out about America and Aspen. I'm just happy America told Aspen she couldn't continue their relationship at the castle...if Maxon really did walk in on them (which I thought he would have because he tugged on his ear) I think he would have been majorly pissed. Is Aspen and America's relationship (in the palace) considered treason like they said earlier on in the book? Because we already found out that some of the 'rules' others told America to follow are total crap. In the end, Maxon had professional reasons to keep the other five elite. He's no longer keeping America for the food or friendship, he's doing it because he's actually in love with her. And hopefully, by the end of the next books, we'll have our new queen. Btw, how many book are supposed to be in the series??

I Think that Maxon will want to pick America, but when he picks the winner, The southerners will strike, taking the last 3 girls away. Then adding to an adventure where Aspen and Maxon will fight for the return of the girls, but also trying to win Americas Heart.

Neither is a prediction, but it sure is going to have a masquerade ball and will focus more in Queen! That what I could see for the author.
I also think we'll find out at the end of this book something pretty rotten of Marlee (seriously, I think she is with revolutionary or fond other way to manipulate the media). She is the one who is playing heaviest, she is wholly fake!
I also think the relationship of will collapse Maxom and America, I think in the end he will kick her from competition. I think the third book will be the America outside the castle, discovering things about the revolutionaries, winning the population and trying to prove he doesn't actually like Aspen.

I think it will go down to three girls and when maxon starts to the girls he chooses America but the rebels get in and take America as hostage also aspen just lets them go because he thinks America deserves it for telling him to get the hell out of her room and that its over for good.So Maxon goes after them to get her back and when she sees maxon trying to fight for her she really falls in love with him and is over aspen for good and never wants to see him again.

I think that Maxon will have heard America and Aspen argueing when America told Aspen to leave.

I really hope that more of the world is explored beyond the castle walls. I also feel like the Queen and King are going to play a larger part in this novel now that there are only The Elite left in The Selection.

As for the America x Maxon x Aspen "love triangle" (I use the quotes because it's not really a triangle at all...), I could really care less about this. Going into The Selection, America was committed to Aspen, but now that she's been a part from him and had time to think about it, I ultimately don't think that they really have a future together. As for the America x Maxon dynamic, I do think that this has more potential, mostly because I feel like their friendship was built better before the hintings of a crush came a long.

I think that The Elite definitely has a lot of potential, and the sort of anticlimaxtic ending is also something that is going for it.

Basically, what I think will happen is more world building/exploration, more moments with Maxon's parents, and lastly some exploration of the romantic relationship goings on in the castle.

I think that Aspen will turn out to be working for the Rebels and that's how they got into the castle for that last attack. I think that he'll tell America and try to get her to run away with him to join them and then she'll tell Maxon everything and after being very angry at her for the affair they will fall back in love and he'll choose her. Then for the 3rd book, I think it'll be telling how Maxon and America become the kind and queen and how they fight the rebels.
