Lianne (eclecticreading) Out of curiosity, has anyone here done The Shadow Walk featured in the novel? If not, do you plan on doing it when you go to Barcelona?

I partly did it when I was there two years ago with my family. I say partly because I don't think we were able to cover all the routes mentioned in the walk (definitely did not have time to go up to Tibidabo) but we definitely wandered along the Ramblas and in the Gothic Quarter. We also checked out the Barcelona Cathedral which is a must if you do the walk; the age and look of the architecture definitely reminds me of the Gothic elements of The Shadow of the Wind.

Ana (anagaspar) | 1 comments Hi Lianne,
I partly did it last December when I went to Barcelona. I went to Tibidabo, and the view is absolutly breathtaking. But then again, Barcelona is a magical city, and I would recommend it to anyone who loves Zafon's books.

Juan Alejandro | 4 comments I read a spanish edition of the book which doesn't have the Shadow Walk. Do you know where I could find it?

There's a pdf file you can download of the Shadow Walk over at Carlos Ruiz Zafon's website: http://www.carlosruizzafon.co.uk/shad...

That's awesome that you were able to go to Tibidabo! I need to go back to Barcelona someday to check it out and a few other places I missed when I was there ;)

I didn't not do the walk specifically, but I used to live in Barcelona and am very familiar with the gothic quarter and Tibidabo. CRZ's books really bring it all back to me.
