What's your first impression of The Fault In Our Stars, now that you've had a taste of it?

This book seems to be a tearjerker. I KNOW I'm about to cry at the end.

My first impression after reading the first chapter was that I liked it ... but the teenagers speak very properly so that makes it unrealistic to me!

Yeah, how they talked kind of got me too. I really don't like reading books when people talk half in proper grammar, and then half in slang. Like they'll say, "I did not do it, and I don't think it fair that your balmed me." Why not say "don't" and "didn't" instead of one being shortened and the other not? It just bugs me, is all. But I think the first chapter was good.
