Mschell (authormschell) | 2 comments Hi I have a new project called A LOVE SONG it started out as a poem, but after people read it and kept saying they wanted more I've continued to keep it going, no one knows how this thing will end. Here's how it all started--A LOVE SONG

(Yes, they know each other)

She wrote this man a love song, pouring out her heart
with trembling fingers and a million n one thoughts
she even used the "L word" which wasnt easy to do
for fear of a busted up heart, leaving it black and blue
she wrote about the future and possibly becoming his wife
scratched it out and changed it up and wrote about her life
she wrote about the good times and all the fun they had
she wrote about how the good times definately outweighted the bad
she wrote about being best friends, then she thought this can never be
they did kindergarten time together and now their both 23
she handed him the lovesong and was ready to runaway
he said, wait, where are you going, I need for you to stay
so she stood there frozen in time, one eye closed and a raised eyebrow
he read the words straight-faced, then smiled and just said WOW!

Hi All, I'm a scifi romance author published through Amazon Kindle and CreateSpace. It's great to see some fellow indie authors here - it's not easy getting our names/books out there and it's nice to have a forum like this to do that.

I'm also a reader of a wide variety of fiction and it looks like I'll have plenty to keep me busy here! :)

Henry Oldie | 16 comments Hello!
We are Dmitry Gromov and Oleg Ladyzhensky, the professional SF & Fantasy writers from Ukraine writing under the joint penname HENRY LION OLDIE.

(Prevention: English is not our native language. On the whole we write and speak in Russian. Our English is not perfect enough, so, please, excuse us for some possible mistakes.)

We’d like to introduce ourselves to this community.
We’re the professional writers since 1996. From 1991 to December 2013 we had published more than 220 hard cover books, including reprints and translations from Russian to French, Polish, Lithuanian and Ukrainian, or more than 50 original books (first prints); and some anthologies. More than 30 novels, 14 novelettes and more than 70 short stories were published up until now. At “EuroCon-2006” International European SF & Fantasy Convention H. L. Oldie got a title of The Best European SF & Fantasy Writer of 2006…
But our books never before had been published in the English-speaking world. So, in this huge literary world we’re only beginners, as many others.
We hope to publish our first fantasy book in English in January 2014 at Amazon and Smashwords in eBook format. The book was translated from Russian to English by our Canadian friends and professionally edited by philologists from DePaul University, Chicago, US.
Our official English WEB-site: http://oldie-worlds.com/news.html
We hope, nobody here will have any objections if we’ll put more detailed information about our book in this community when the book will appear at Amazon and Smashwords?

Happy New Year to all of you!

Sincerely yours,
Henry Lion Oldie.

Leigh Podgorski (leighpod) | 6 comments Happy New Year All!
The third book in my Magical Realism Stone Quest Series, NEURI SAHPE=SHIFTER is now available on Kindle.
http://amzn.to/1imG7Oh
The third book of the Stone Quest Series finds Luke Stone and Beth Rutledge's marriage teetering on the edge of dissolution as their daughter Bridget Grace at thirteen, the spitting image of her father, struggles to break free of parental restraint, especially her father's attempts to guide and constrain her "second sight," the same psychic abilities he has, but which in her are ,if anything, even more pronounced. Now, adding to the tumult, is the case of three missing girls, all vanished from the Lower East Side of New York City -- the area where Luke in his teens lived as the disciple of the black magician and now his nemesis Armand Jacobi. As Luke is drawn more deeply into the girls' case, his investigation takes him back to Alphabet City and the raging Vampire Club scene. Ominous signs develop pointing irrefutably to Jacobi's involvement. But as Luke immerses himself in the case, staying longer and longer away from home, the relationship between Beth and Bridget Grace simmers more and more toxic. Unknown to either of her parents, BG has developed a secret, powerful relationship with a mysterious young man whom she first met in an online chat room. One day, as Luke is on his way to NYC , and after yet another blow up with her mother -- BG, like the three other missing girls-- vanishes, leaving behind a cryptic note. As Luke's investigation into BG's disappearance gets underway with the help of retired NY detective Stan Banor, Luke's world is further shattered by the sudden appearance of a beautiful older woman, a woman's whose face he knows but whom he cannot quite place. The woman is Danuta Dabrowitz, his mother, and she brings with her many memories and painful secrets. Though her cause, so she tells him, is but one: to join her powers with his in order to find Bridget Grace and bring her home, Luke cannot fully trust the woman who had so betrayed him as a child by leaving him alone in the hands of his abusive alcoholic father. With each passing day, the investigation grows more gruesome, and more deadly--even turning up the skeletal remains of a victim murdered twenty-five years ago, Matthew, whose murder has haunted Luke all his life. Working closely with Stan and his men and with retired Sheriff Esther Rinaldi, Luke grows certain the girls' case is no longer a missing persons but a homicide. Then Danuta tells him of their heritage to an ancient people, the Neuri, who possess enormous powers, including the power of shape-shifting-- a power that Armand Jacobi himself may possess. As Luke faces his nemesis once again, and surrounded with warriors he is not sure he can trust, including his own prowess, Luke Stone races against time to save his daughter's life.

Liz Bell | 1 comments Hi everyone! I am grateful for discovering Goodreads! Such great exposure. I am a 32 year old chick living in Manhattan and I’ve written two books, NOTHING like one another. One is a YA dystopian novel about a girl who is born into the Illuminati, but is unable to be programmed or brainwashed. She therefore is an outcast among the “Others” (everyone else other than the Illuminati) and her own cult. She grows to see how evil a conspiracy she was born into and quests on a search for her mother who ran away when she was little, and answers. Only 99 cents, give it a shot!

http://www.amazon.com/Luminous-Altern...

My other novel is an adult fiction work, based on my real life high school bullying experiences (hence the similarities in the name). Listina is an angry bitter alcoholic who is barely functioning and stumbles upon diaries that she knows she is afraid to read. She does, after hitting rock bottom, she knows her spiral downward is going to kill her. She relives every humiliating memory one by one, being bullied by her own friends as well as other girls. Here are links to my social media below. Enjoy!

Hi Freeman.
Your book sounds wonderful and I look forward to reading it. I've connected with you via social media and look forward to keeping up to date on your project.

I'm publishing a children's book in the coming months with a similar goal in mind, so thought it would be great to connect with a like-minded author. My book is based in the Galapagos Islands and a portion of the proceeds will be donated to conservation efforts.

Best of luck with your book,

G.G. (ggatcheson) Hello everyone,
What an interesting bunch of people. I'm looking forward to get to know you all.

My name is GG. Like many of you, I am a self-published author. My book, The Legacy: Fate, is a mixed genre of SciFi/paranormal/urban fantasy.

I love to read about anything fiction. In fact, I read more than I write. I'm currently reading 3 books and trying to edit my own while taking an online writing course and moderating a group here on goodreads on top of another one for a gaming guild website. I think I'm chewing more than I can swallow at the moment (and to think that the year has just begun). /sigh

Oh boy, do I sound like I am introducing myself in a therapy group? o_o

Anyway, no matter how my post look like, don't let it fool you all. I'm happy to be here!

Marc Stock | 23 comments Hi There,

As you know many writers struggle to get their book seen by the masses.
By luck I found this guy named Adrian who Guarantees #1 page for your book's keyword or your money back within 6 weeks!
If this interests you, then I highly recommend Adrian and his Amazon kindle ranking system. Go here and check his winning service out.
He doesn't take everyone and the book has to be less than 30 days old. See what he says here: >>> http://bit.ly/1f9KVln
My friend who wrote a book tried this service out and it worked very well for him, so much he did two books afterwards.
I thought this would help others in this community. Bottom line is if he fails you will get your money back, so it's Guaranteed! I hope this helps out:)

Adriano Bulla (adriano_bulla) | 2 comments Hello,

I am Adriano Bulla but people call me Ade, and I've been invited to join this group.

I started writing as a child; I would write poems in English while living in Italy to create a world for myself. As you might expect, angst was the big companion of my youth...

I have also written a grammar book, a Comparative Literature study on Dante Alighieri and S T Coleridge, a collection of short stories and, recently a novel, my baby: The Road to London.

I am one of the lucky ones to have publishers behind (5 of them), but still do the normal chatting with readers...

I like to push the boundaries of genre and style, and like to write new forms of literature.

I am also an academic.

Well, these are my books:

The Road to London by Adriano Bulla

Tales for the Free Mind and Open Heart by Adriano Bulla

Ybo' and Other Lies by Adriano Bulla

The Labyrinth of Grammar by Adriano Bulla

The Mariner's Inferno by Adriano Bulla

There is much more information online and on the books' pages on Goodads.

Ronin (trishaalindsey) | 4 comments Hello! Glad I landed here! I love reading and writing reviews. I write good reviews for good or even great, books. I contact authors to find out the backstory when I read any Book I would give 4 STARS or below. I read most genres, but prefer, urban/contemporary/interracial romance, paranormal, sci-fi, thrillers, suspense, and historical romance.

I am disabled, I speak my books into existence, with speech to text software. I write across genres, as I have a variety of writers with stories inside. I write in 5 Book Series formats, although the Series I just began has an ambitious 13 books planned, with 13 changing characters, but one thread that is woven throughout, with the Major character, Sleepy. I make up my own covers, as I integrate the cover as the story unfolds. I have been writing since I was 13, and have been published traditionally. I prefer the control of EBooks. I began reading at 3 1/2, and used to read Dictionaries and Encyclopedias for fun! Feel free to check out my books.I also write under the pseudonym Ronin Schtihl Daire. Here is a link to my books, they are exclusive to Amazon.com I am currently writing a bridge book between my Sci Fi thriller Sleeping Lizards Book 1: Somnolent Chameleon and what will be a Book 6 in my Thin Line - Josef and Blair Series. They are different genres, but I am going to make it work! http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_nos...
