I happen to suffer from dyslexia, as well- words and letters flip constantly, but the letter "u" replacing "you" never seems to trip me up, really. I'm sure it's different for everyone, but I've never had difficulty understanding anything Jenna wrote.
Jenna, we'll chat over books! I still want to see if you end up liking Bared to You! :)

Don't go Jenna !!!! :(

And thank you for the emphasis on my title.

Okay ive had enough I left the group because we have been preaching from the start about not attacking people and you are the one being a rude BITCH yes i said it and thats why i wanted to leave because i knew if i stayed id get shitty. But im over it It wasnt because i was being sensitive and why the hell are u bringin up the shit about me and u arguring???? had nothing to do with it. So sounds like to me your the one wanting to Start problems

Is that Sensitive enough for "YOU"!!

I think that was very rude of you to specifically point out each and every flaw in her writing. What does the fact that I've been friendly with Jenna have to do with it? I've been friendly to all who are so in return. You are coming to the defense of someone whom I don't even believe I've offended.
Thank you for suggesting I start a friendly thread instead of what this has obviously become. I'm sorry, but I don't like to see someone being singled out because of their writing in a GR discussion. I thought this was about books. If someone was uneducated and unable to properly use the English language, would they also be ridiculed or asked to speak better? Its ridiculous. And I'm referring to what you've said. I don't think Christine took it to a rude level. But you have. I will go and find that "friendly" thread now.

its okay ill be the bad guy im fine with it, and u are not gonna let her run u off either its bullshit, u and i have been here much longer then she has so sit ur bottom down :) lol and to my defense i never replaced R for are just u for you :)

well Lor ive been told its similar to fifty shades but the writting is better so i figured id give it a go

Well, I've never seen it asked on GR for members to use proper English, and not slang. But I have seen it mentioned to be considerate and respect the opinions of others. In fact, I believe it pretty mandatory...So, proceed, Jenna. You're writing is fine with me.

It is has many explicit love scenes, but BDSM is not involved. However, if I recall properly, BDSM is referred to by Gideon at some point in the book, (I believe towards the end), and I have a feeling it is explored in book two.
I haven't read sequel yet. Not sure if I will because I didn't particularly care for BtY...but many have. I would definitely recommend it because it has a lot of similar characteristics of FSoG. I just couldn't connect with the characters, for some reason.

If you don't like romance but you like erotica, you actually may really like this!

I've read Easy, and absolutely loved it! I think it's a YA romance. Fade-to-blackish love scenes. Really great plot with an awesome twist. I would highly recommend it if you like the romance genre.

Another one is Moonstruck Madness - she's a highwayman.
."
I have read Private Arrangements and Moonstruck Madness . They just did not come to mind. I guess I was looking for someone a little more disgusting. I did think of Elphaba in Wicked, but she was just kind of misunderstood. I may have to re-read Private Arrangements.

This post is what started the ball rolling on me being called a bitch, a bully, my screen name getting made fun of (really?) and you two going on...and on...and on...about how not accepting I am of people's different opinions? You're not even making sense any more. I never named called or put anyone down, in any way. That would all be you. The worst thing I said is that Jenna is being too sensitive, and that she doesn't use ANY punctuation or capitalization. I did not break down her posts and analyze her words. I started out defending Christine. It's now devolved into a ridiculous finger pointing that is so far from a mature conversation that it's laughable. I didn't even post for nearly twenty posts and you two were just feeding off of each other. I never said I expected perfection in posts. The occasional slip up is very different than intentionally writing like your texting. You could at least TRY to write correctly. If you don't want to, so be it. Leaving the conversation in a huff was childish, but you seem to take offense to anything anyone says that remotely opposes you.
Calling me a bitch is way over the top and completely uncalled for. It was a request from a dyslexic that you write so that she could understand. But, as you put it, you're just going to be hypocritical and disregard what others say. Your words. And then you resort to name calling and putting me down? THIS is who you are?
You guys need to remember that there is an actual person on the other end of the computer.
You're making it so much more than I ever meant for it to be, and you know it. I've been a GR member for almost four years now and have never come across two more confrontational members. I've always been able to have lighthearted discussions even if my opinion is different. I promise, I'll bow out now. You have made it abundantly clear that our personalities do not mesh.

A spoiler? Listen, I'm usually not confrontational at all. But I do hate when someone hurts another for no reason. That's how Jenna writes, and at first, I was honestly just giving my opinion. But then you pointed out all her writing flaws and I was so appalled by that. I really didnt think it was necessary, and it was probably embarrassing for her. I thought we talk about books here. If someone doesn't understand another's writing, just move on. To ask them to write better is sort of harsh, no?
Anyway, don't bow out. I'm finished talking about FSoG, anyway. You've just joined in this discussion, so you'll have more to gain.
Let's just call a truce, and agree to disagree. But don't feel the need to leave the thread if you dont want to over this nonsense.

So I heard Ian Somerhalder was going to hollywood next wk to talk to the producers of FsoG how does everyone feel about that

Kris - I think we both agree that this 'discussion' has been turned into word vomit at this point. I took out my earlier spoiler since you obviously had issues with it. I'm also done talking about Fifty. It hasn't really been that conversation for awhile anyways. I know I've seen you around GR as we have quite a few of the same friends. I hope we can be civil in the future. I'm bowing out to just stop the ugliness from escalating on my end. Life's too short. Happy reading to you all!

How about Scarlett O'Harra Mary? She is a female character who does some pretty reprehensible things. Perhaps she finds a little redemption when she realises she loves Melanie and Rhett after it is too late, in both cases.

Of course they are. Look at Mary Magdalene in the Bible. I'm sure there are many more. I do believe people can change if they have people who care about them and their well-being. =)

speaking of Elphaba, have you read the other books after wicked? are they worth readng? I have the 2nd ive just never read it

You are absolutely right Ellie!! I was just kidding mostly. ;)

Oh that is a GREAT one and we are rooting for Scarlet in the end.

Son of a Witch (don't you just love that title?) is much better than Wicked IMO. I have not read A Lion Among Men, but did read some of the other books based on fairy tales: Mirror, Mirror and Confessions of an Ugly Stepsister.

I loved Wicked, I also loved Confessions of an Ugly Stepsister. I have Son of a Witch, a Lion Among Men, and some of his other books Mirror Mirror, Lost and What the Dickens all sitting in Hardback on my book shelf - I will get to them soon, I promise. My brother has read most Maguire books and and he liked all of them, except he said Lost was pretty average. You probably already know this but there was a new Oz book that was just released this year Out of Oz
