This book is set in DH Lawrence era , it is about a man who has an unhappy marriage ,falls in love with a another women. The whole book has exchange of beautiful love letters between them. The end has the man unable to leave his wife and kids parts way with the women he loves. last chapter has him seeing of his love at railway station and coming home as broken man. Next morning shows wife going about her chores and goes in search of the husband and sees him hanging dead.
