vicki_girl | 2764 comments Currently the most popular edition of Vampire Knight, Vol. 9 has no ISBN. At first glance it appears to be a duplicate of the English version, ISBN 1421531720. However, looking at the change log:

http://www.goodreads.com/book/edits/6...

German national library removed ISBN 3551751595. That ISBN 10 goes with the ISBN 13 listed on the German Edition.

My question is whether to merge this duplicate with the German edition, or the English one. I lean towards merging with the English version for the following reasons:

1. All the details, except the deleted ISBN match the English version
2. For most manga I have worked with, the English version is by far the most popular edition.
3. The English language version is already the second most popular. (One rating on the German versus 158 on the English.)

However, given the large number of ratings/shelvings for this book (almost 4,000) I thought I should get a second opinion.

Paula (paulaan) | 7014 comments I would go with English

1) All (but 1) of the written reviews are in English
(not a given that the edition is English, I know)

2) The one non English written review has the book shelved on a shelved named English would would initial suggest this was an English edition rather than German.
