Jeanie Jackson Somethings will never be revealed. I don't think we will ever much learn about Eve's background, either other family or even her earlier adult years.

Quynh (quynh_o) | 1269 comments I like that we don't know who the candy thief is since I love Eve's reaction each time they find her stash or when they don't.

Or what name appears on Roarke's birth certificate.

Sara ♥ (saranicole) | 1038 comments I just reread Portrait in Death, which is the book where Roarke finds out about his mother... AND he finds his birth certificate, which he'd never bothered to look up before (not caring). So HE know what his birth name was... I know Eve doesn't pry much, but I'm kinda surprised she's not more intrigued by the mystery of his name....

I thought about that, too. It's almost as if they've privately agreed to leave it be.

Dee Sauter (indeathaddict) | 1070 comments I think it is strange that there are several people has only one name. I understand there are people that professionally use one name, but privately they should still have a first name and a surname.

I guess it's like Madonna, et al when the one name becomes their complete identity.

Dee Sauter (indeathaddict) | 1070 comments I can understand it when a famous person uses a single name, not only do people know the name, but when they get credit cards, buy property, or whatever and they use their first and last name they have a sense of anonymity.
