It is probably easier to tell you the ones I don't recommend than the ones I do. I didn't like All That Glitters, Bluebird Winter, Burn, Ice, Cover of Night, and Blood Born. I know I read Up Close and Dangerous but I don't remember it.

My favorites are Open Season, Midnight Rainbow, Diamond Bay, Heartbreaker, Duncan's Bride, and the MacKenzies Series.

message 9: by Debby (new)

Debby Harrison | 227 comments You missed a couple of Novella's Dee.

Blue Moon
Lake of Dreams
White Out

message 10: by Janeiowa (last edited Jan 13, 2013 08:57AM) (new)

Janeiowa | 5009 comments Jessica....they're all great....but I don't like or read the paranormal/fantasy/whatever that genre is called...so I stick with the contemporary. From the listings above, I've read all of the contemporary and own all of them either in print or digitally. I hope the early ones can be soon gotten digitally. I've read and re-read those early ones so many times, my books are getting worn out.

message 11: by Valie (new)

Valie (valiemartin) | 80 comments I confess I didn't read, Drop Dead Gorgeous, Inferno, Death Angel, Burn, Ice, Veil of Night & Blood Born...

Death Angel, Burn, Ice & Veil of Night are in my TBR pile for ages

message 12: by Judy (new)

Judy Veil of Night is really good! Move it to the top of your TBR pile.

message 13: by Karen (new)

Karen | 1 comments Thanks for the list. I've read all but the last four. Now I have some catching up to do. lol

message 14: by Wendy (new)

Wendy Kalthoff (wkalthoff) | 132 comments loved open season

message 15: by Wendy (new)

Wendy Kalthoff (wkalthoff) | 132 comments heartbreaker was okay

message 16: by Anita (new)

Anita (anitanodiva) | 1619 comments I loved Open Season, To Die For and Drop Dead Gorgeous. I prefer books with a little humor to go with my ronantic suspense.

message 17: by -ya (new)

-ya (yareading) Wow...I love this list, Dee. I realize I am not yet qualified to be LH junkies. I have only read 26 off this list.

message 18: by Dee (new)

Dee Sauter (indeathaddict) | 7583 comments Ya, you are a book Junkie if you have read 26 books.

I also love romantic suspense

Dee Sauter (indeathaddict) | 7583 comments What prize do you want, Pamela?

message 23: by Pamela(AllHoney) (new)

Pamela(AllHoney) (pamelap) lol! I get my prize when I read her books.

message 24: by Tamara (new)

Tamara | 285 comments I've read 33 of her books and liked them all especially Cry No More , Dream Man Open Season Cover of Night and Heart Breaker.

message 25: by Debby (new)

Debby Harrison | 227 comments I have read all her books, thanks to Dee, she has lent me the older ones that she got through Amazon. Right now I am anxiously waiting for news of a new book (after Shadow Woman and Running Wild).

message 26: by Janeiowa (last edited Apr 22, 2013 09:33AM) (new)

Janeiowa | 5009 comments FYI: I just got an email from B&N saying "New Book by Linda Howard --Coming Soon" Be AWARE...it's not a new book. It's a combo of Linda Howard's 1983 title AGAINST THE RULES and Marie Force's FATAL AFFAIR to be packaged with the title: Lethal Attraction: Against the Rules\Fatal Affair

If a buyer doesn't catch that subtitle, he/she might assume that is a new title. It's not.

message 27: by Debby (new)

Debby Harrison | 227 comments Thanks you Jane. I have actually gotten sucked into buying a book, thinking it was a new book.

message 28: by Sanya (new)

Sanya I read all of them (53), re-read them, but I can't bring myself to read Blood Born! Can't stand vampires. Do you think I should read it??
I'm a little disappointed that LH won't communicate and let us know if she's writing again...so I stopped following her, it only makes me crave for more ;)

I also don't like vampires or anything paranormal or historical, so no, I don't read those books, regardless of who writes them.

Why spend your time reading something you don't enjoy?

message 30: by Kathy Anne (new)

Kathy Anne (kathyanne) | 598 comments I do read and enjoy vampire books but I didn`t care for these, but there are other LH books that don`t do it for me either but she is still the crème of the crop.I don`t think we are expected to like a book just because of a name-tho of course I always do too.

message 31: by Sanya (last edited Dec 25, 2014 05:57AM) (new)

Sanya I thought that I might like it even if it is a vamp book, just because I love the way she writes...but then, I really didn't care for her latest books.
Maybe I'll give it a try someday.

message 32: by Anita (new)

Anita (anitanodiva) | 1619 comments I agree, I don't especially care for paranormal books and vampires are at the bottom to the paranormal list for me. But, I will read the LH books just because she wrote them.

message 33: by Dee (new)

Dee Sauter (indeathaddict) | 7583 comments When I meet an author I really like I usually read everything they write. If they write a genre I don't like I usually don't read that genre.

I for one do like the vampire stuff, but this book was not a favorite of mine and I have only read it once. I can't force myself to read it again.

message 34: by Anita (new)

Anita (anitanodiva) | 1619 comments One and done for a genre you don't like is the least I would do for an author like Linda Howard.

message 35: by Nancy (new)

Nancy | 69 comments Does anyone know when LH will release her next book? Also, what is happening to the series with Linda Jones Running Wild??

message 36: by Dee (new)

Dee Sauter (indeathaddict) | 7583 comments I haven't heard. Since LH doesn't have a web site it makes it hard to find out. I have asked on her FB page but she doesn't answer my questions.

message 37: by Nancy (last edited Mar 31, 2015 07:46PM) (new)

Nancy | 69 comments Thanks Dee. I love LH but I wish she gives her fans a bit more info on her future books.

message 38: by Janeiowa (new)

Janeiowa | 5009 comments On her Facebook page she shares with Linda Jones, she said some weeks ago that the two of them were working on the next in that series they did ...is it paranormal ?,,,title would be Warrior Rising or some such. I don't read anything in that genre, so didn't pay attention. It'll be self-published since publishers balked at this sequel book, though apparently a lot of fans had asked for it.

I'll try to find the details.

message 39: by Janeiowa (new)

Janeiowa | 5009 comments See Facebook page for Linda Howard/Linda Jones --January 29, 2015,--for comment from Linda Jones that she and LH were still working on Warrior Rising and had been looking for the right cover art. She said then it was in progress and not finished.

message 40: by Anita (new)

Anita (anitanodiva) | 1619 comments There are a lot of authors that are self publishing these days. I can see advantages like keeping more of the money, total control, etc.. But the disadvantages have to be great, just generating publicity for a book must be an enormous undertaking.

message 41: by Janeiowa (new)

Janeiowa | 5009 comments And no publisher deadlines or changes wanted.

message 42: by Janeiowa (new)

Janeiowa | 5009 comments While hoping to find Troublemaker listed in my library's digital collection early (no luck), I came across a book titled Jeopardy by Linda Howard. I'd never heard of that one. It turns out to be a compilation....Game of Chance and Loving Evangeline. So, it's not new...just two titles bundled together...and two I wouldn't have imagined together. ;)

message 43: by Nancy (new)

Nancy (gr-nancy-a) | 799 comments Yep. Saw Jeopardy at WalMart this week

message 44: by Anita (new)

Anita (anitanodiva) | 1619 comments The books they pick to bundle never makes much sense to me.

message 45: by Dee (new)

Dee Sauter (indeathaddict) | 7583 comments same with me. I am glad to hear about Jeopardy. Since I have both books (in abundance) I don't need to buy that book.
