I saw the above thread and it pretty much focuses on the music people listen to while they read. I care more about their tastes in music in general.

Since discovering the Tree a few years ago, it and Steve Wilson, are pretty much all I've been listening to.

Good call on Porcupine Tree.
I discovered Steven Wilson due to his work with the heavy metal band Opeth (Steve Wilson produced three of their albums, Blackwater Park, Deliverance and Damnation).
My favorite Procupine Tree album is probably Fear of a Blank Planet.

currently though my tastes are all over the place from rock to pop to adult contemporary... anything with good lyrics and is sung well.

Me. I hate them. Give me the O'Jays and the Spinners every time.


I also enjoy what is called Minimalism. Here's a great example of what I am talking about. It's a form of music where repetition is its main signature with respect to note variation.

I am a Rush fan myself. I love all kinds of music though, they are just my favorite.
