Brian Ronan | 2 comments James Smythe from the Guardian is apparently a huge Stephen King fan and has undertaken to read all of King's works in chronological order. He's done four so far - Carrie, Salem's Lot, The Shining and Rage. A great series so far. Here's a link to the first in the series. http://www.guardian.co.uk/books/2012/.... Enjoy!

Dustin Thank you, Brian.:)

I've read the first article so far, but I'd like to read the others, as well.

Miriam (chkntza) Thank you for posting that here. It was very interesting. I would like to read others too.

Rachel Bridgeman (rachelreadit) | 6 comments The articles are fascinating as I'd also decided to read King first to last and am almost caugth up with him on Rage :) he brings up very salient points and the discussion is very interesting.

Allana (allanavee) | 6 comments Thanks for posting the link it made good reading and is now bookmarked for future weeks (or fortnights).
However, I was a little disappointed with the review of The Shining. I understand that Smythe found it difficult to write about the novel without referencing the film, but I think it led to a less in-depth analysis of the book itself.

Checkman Good articles. Thanks for the link.

I agree Allana. He should stick to reviewing the books. Thankfully, The Shining is about the only movie that he could bring into the discussion like that. Well, maybe The Shawshank Redemption ... but that wasn't based on a full length novel. Looking forward to the Stand and Dark Tower discussions!
