Sci-fi/ fantacy book about kid given dragon's milk and is then linked to dragon. Set in present day United States new england states I believe. The dragon is the main character. Falls in love with a dragon princess. evil dragons live on the moon. Good dragons evaporate the black sea to bring dragons to earth so he can rescue dragon princess from evil dragon. I read late 80's early 90's

In her first venture into the YA market, adult novelist Schaeffer has written an uneven fantasy.
