Wow, Alison, busy mom!! I have a 17 year old daughter and a 10 year old (almost 11) year old daughter. So I remember those days, bet those little ones keep you hopping!

Thanks, Karen! Pics of Logan especially now...he looks almost EXACTLY like Darryl did at that age! Except for the nose, they all got the "Simpson" nose which is a very dominant gene in our family! Everyone gets it! Logan's smile and his mannerisms are just like Darryl, too, although he has my perfectionist streak. Noah's personality is almost exactly like my dad :) Tessa and Noah are a lot a like, although she has a red head temper and she's a little more social and outgoing like Darryl. Alison is a total mix of me and Darryl, although she looks EXACTLY like I did at her age! We are so much alike, but she has Darryl's brain, and can never sit still just like him!

And there I go rambling about my kids...this subject could keep me talking for weeks!

kynndra-jo (charlietanghoe) Happy birthday to your boys Jenny! I love how you ramble about your kids, it's awesome and very sweet c:

Oddly enough, today (August 14th) is my 17th birthday! Woot woot, getting up there in age haha! Mom says it's amazing how the time flies. It seems it's true with most moms and their kids ;-;

I know right? Alison is a SENIOR!!!!! WHAT????

Rose (The_Calm_Reader) (roselittlebookowl75) | 1372 comments Wow!!!!! I forgot Alison is a senior!!!! I can't believe I will be doing that next year with senior pictures and graduation and college apps, etc. Makes me crazy just thinking about it!

message 3314: by Jenny, Always smiling! :-D (new)

Jenny (juliababyjen) | 12932 comments Mod
We did her senior pics, just have to order them....I have graduation somewhat planned out, at least the basics what, where, when kind of thing. Gotta to go through millions of pics and make a slideshow. We've been researching colleges, that I think will be the hardest part. I will be in a constant emotional state I think for the next 2 years!

Rose (The_Calm_Reader) (roselittlebookowl75) | 1372 comments You and me both Jenny! Kaleb is my "baby", my firstborn so it will be emotional for me too! You sound like you are ahead of the game so far! Best of luck!!

At this rate, I'm going to have to keep LOWERING my goal...ah well. Just too busy!

Recently handmade a small journal for a friend for an art swap. She LOVED it! Here is the video flip through of it if you want to check it out!

Jenny, when I started working again I thought I might have to lower mine as I was overwhelmed at first, and still am, but I have found my one hour lunch times are a great time to read and de-stress.

Thanks Sherrie!

Daniel (pickyreader1) | 1925 comments Yay Rose!
My goal wasn't all that high either (30) but as long as you keep challenging yourself to read more, the number doesn't matter!

message 3336: by Victoria (new)

Victoria Zigler (toriz) | 4472 comments Jenny: It doesn't matter. What matters most is that you enjoy the books you read, and the actual act of reading them.

Victoria Zigler (toriz) | 4472 comments I got to meet an online friend today! She was visiting the UK from Italy and came to spend the day with me. We spent the day in and out of cafes and walking near the seafront mostly. It was great, though my feet are killing me, LOL!

I suppose it technically counts as meeting a famous author too, because she's an author I met through Goodreads and became friends with.
