My woot woot for today--I got 9 hours of sleep last night!! That sounds like kind of a strange woot, woot, but I've been suffering from insomnia the past few days and I was feeling like the living dead or something! Today I feel much more like myself!

Jenny, I hear ya, girlfriend!! I have insomnia most nights and then I'll do a catch up day and sleep 10 - 12 hours and also nap off and on all day. It's like my brain MUST recharge. For me, that's a big ole woot woot! Sooooo yay!!

I have a bizarre WOOT WOOT! I ran to go grab some items from my local WalMart and saw what looked like a sub sandwich in a shopping cart that was in front of my parking space. Something made me take a closer look and I realized it was a Coach walllet that was stuffed so full it had the shape of a sub sandwich.

I went in the store and sat at the little fast food place inside and looked to see if I could find a phone number. I found tons of cash and everything but the kitchen sink in there, but it felt like I was violating their privacy so I didn't look for longer than a few minutes. I did see evidence that the owner was a brand new mommy with a month old baby. Yikes! I can only imagine what she must be going through. I tried calling a number that I found on a receipt and was told I had the wrong number so I just closed it all back up and went to find a manager.

I made him take my number to put it with the wallet so when the woman came back she could call me. I want to ensure that she gets back everything and if anything was missing, I'd vouch for her. I HOPE she gets her wallet back! Everything, driver's license, credit cards, LOTS of cash, SS cards, everything... was in that wallet. I imagine that she's sleep deprived and may not even notice its missing right away.

Anyway, WOOT WOOT that I found it rather than someone who may not have returned it? :)

That's a wonderful, Woot, woot, Karen! That was wonderful of you to turn it in! My guess is if all that cash was still in it, no one else had picked through it yet.

That happened to me once, I found a lady's purse she'd left in the bathroom stall at some store, it was probably Walmart. I didn't even open it, I just took it right to customer service!

And when I worked retail, that would happen from time to time, someone would leave their purse or wallet in a dressing room. Us sales associates on the floor weren't allowed to look through it--we'd have to give it to a manager to look through.

I did that once, left my purse in a dressing room, but luckily I remembered before I got too far, and when I went back, it was still there! I had a lot of cash in it at the time, so I was beyond relieved!!

I was really torn between just letting the store deal with it or seeing if I could call the person myself. I wasn't sure of their policy and asked for the manager rather than turning it in to Customer Service. There was just way too much cash. He said he would lock it up and that no one but managers had access! *fingers crossed*

Ooh you're a Good Samaritan Karen! So glad you found it although I hope most people would do the right thing. You're a great example to us all though!!

Wow, what a great service you did and I too hope that woman gets it back. Surely she will notice it gone and contact the store to see if they found it. I did that once, and the store had it. I was so very grateful!
