Paul Andrulis (pauldude000) | 10 comments 1) What is your name and bio?

My name is Paul Andrulis and I was born in the tiny town of Larned, Kansas. I currently live on a farm near Claflin, Kansas with my wife and three children.

I run have an Authors blog at http://andrulisbooks.blogspot.com on which I share my views and news with my readers.

2) What is your book title, synopsis, and where can readers find it?

My book is Surviving In America: Under Siege at Amazon.com and is available from Amazon for the kindle reader through the link.

Synopsis:

"Meet Joe Anderson, an unassuming middle aged father and loving husband, who is suddenly plunged unwillingly into a nightmare world where the previously laughable, unthinkable, and unspeakable conspiracy theories have come true...

Joe must avoid agonizing death at every turn with the help of his friends, and survive against all odds to help retake his country from a rogue genocidal government, which has placed America itself..Under Siege."

3) Where do you come up with your ideas?

I write mainly TEOTWAWKI (The End Of The World As We Know It) type themes, and the ideas come from either hard science or popular culture. Currently conspiracy theories abound on the net, and have gained quite a following. I personally researched and followed a huge number of these theories as I saw a perfect subject for a multiple genre - action adventure/sci-fi/dystopia book which would appeal to a huge number of readers.

4) What books/authors do you like to read?

Robert Heinlen holds a high spot on the list. I learned from his writing style that a good story is ultimately based upon good story telling. He wrote a huge number of science fiction books, many of which I truly hated the plot. Yet, his storytelling was SO GOOD, that I had to read them anyway!

I like writers who's writing is vivid enough that you see the story unfold in your imagination's eye as you read. Not many authors can pull that off.

Pat Frank with his book "Alas Babylon" also comes readily to mind, and is the author whose book initially interested me in TEOTWAWKI fiction.

5) What's your next writing project?

I actually have the sequel to Surviving In America already written and in the mind-numbing process of editing called "Surviving With Joe". I also have a third science based sci-fi/action adventure TEOTWAWKI work partially finished named "Death Of A Digital World".

As Surviving In America: Under Siege was my first writing project.... I expect to get much better with storytelling, though I have already had much encouragement and praise through e-mail concerning the current book. Test readings by various forum readers say that "Surviving With Joe" is even better than the original, though they loved the original as well.

Time will tell.
