*Restrict the use of excessive foul language. we don't mind Swearing, but think to yourself is it really necessary. however we would prefer if you didn't.

If you have something that can be deemed a spoiler. Please use the spoiler HTML. This way you can still say what you want and if people want to read the spoiler that is their fault!
How to do Spoiler HTML:
it is quite simple you type spoiler in the less than(<) and greater than(>) symbols so it looks like this(without the star)<*spoiler>.
you then type your spoiler to your hearts content.
to close it you put do the same (without the star of course)<*spoiler> but this time you put an / symbol
(sorry the name escapes me right now) in front of the word spoiler so it will loo like this(without the star)<*/spoiler>.
so in the end you would end up with something looking like this... Go on click it...

Author/Service Promotion
The following applies to all Authors, Representatives of Authors and those people offering services, looking to self promote in this group.
To Self promote you must have a topic under your name. Not your book. Not the sale name but your name.
This way you can keep putting updates of sales, new books etc. In the one topic and not clog up the group.
Please only post your book once and it can be posted again if you are answering a separate post which relates to your book.
Please note this is for the entire group and not just sections.
Our Competitions & Giveaways folder has rules as well.
Although the rules there are a little bit different. please refer to the section on those rules.
Any posts which i regard as spamming will be deleted.
If the spammer continues i will remove them from the group(but only after 3 strikes).
We want to promote new authors, but we do not want to create a club which people abandon because its full of spam.
Please visit the Authors Unite topic and let us know who you are and what book/s you have written.
http://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/4...
If you have a Facebook Page Don't forget to include that.
Remember only promote your work once. we don't want any unsightly spam.
Promotions not labelled properly and have been inactive will be deleted after 30 days this applies to all topics of a promotional nature (including competitions). you leave it we delete it.
if you wish to keep the topic active and effectively keep it.... all you have to do is post.

As we are a large group we need Guidelines or Rules to go by.
The Consequences of a Breach of are quite simple.
I work on a 3 strikes your out rule.
*First you get a Public warning after all you may not realy know you are doing something wrong.
*Second a Private Warning/Chat requesting to stop and explain why.
After that it becomes a Zero Tolerance and Possible Deletion From Group.
*Third Warning Telling you it is your Final warning you get deleted from the group.
Thankfully You have all been Wonderful and i haven't had to delete anyone. And personally i hope i Never have to.
Ok now onto our Group Guidelines/Rules
