This is actually a really great place. I have made many, many, many friends here. I have grown in my writing. I have shared laughs and tears with the rest. I honestly have a lot of memories from this place. Sounds silly, I know, but it's true.
Writers Who Are Children is a very, very great group and it's too bad Sana had to judge us so early. We're not cruel or mean or anything. We just get a
I have no idea how the heck this place is like jail. It's a wonderful place where you won't be judged and instead be loved.

lolwut.
At this point, I would like to express how amazing WWAC has been in my life. You people introduced me to my favorite author, criticized my writing (in the good ways and the bad, but they're both helpful) and have kept me entertained for hours on end when I should be doing homework. More than that, you guys have been friends to me. Some of you have listened to me complain about girls and the lack thereof, which is really nice because I can see how any self-respecting person would rather do just about anything than that. So seriously, thanks for being there, everybody.
That said, I don't see how a person can come in here, glance at the group they just joined, and decide it's 'jail'. Like, yeah, some of us wouldn't consider ourselves 'children' at ages of near-adulthood, but we still act like children, and if you look around the group, you'll see that much right away. I would like to add that this is NOT like jail at all. You know how at the top of a group it says "You are a member of this group. Edit Membership"? If you click that button, you can leave the group at any time...and you don't even have to pay us bail. This freedom was so expertly demonstrated by Sana.
So, as Holden said...New users: don't take one person's experience as fact. Join the group and try it out for yourself...you might find that it's an amazing place.
Adding onto this trend of posts.
Although this group is not good for everyone, I joined this group when I was 11. That was 3 years ago, and I am still here. Sure, there were a few PG-13 things but if I wanted to I'd just stray away from them.
In this group, I improved so much better in my writing, and as a person in general. Also, with such a broad group of people, I got the motivation to write even when I was down.
This group is addicting and hard to leave because of it, but that's the only way I see it as a jail.;)
Through this group I have met some of my best friends, my girlfriend, and then the girl who actually saved my life.
This group is actually insane, and full of lunatics, also like jail. But... the good kind of jail. The kind of jail that gives you cookies and watermelons and nice pats on the back. Not the kinds of pats that have knives in them.
So we love you and we hope you can have a better experience than Sana seemed to have.

Adding to it all,
Though I don't come here much, I could never see deleting myself from it. I have laughed along with everyone and they have also been there to help me with things that may not even be a part of writing. This group warms my heart every time I come here, not to be sappy. I seriously just love all of you though, even Colby. <3

Umm what the what?

Attention-seeking troll much? Well, if any other new members see this ... I guess everyone else has pretty much said what I was going to say. This group is more for teens than for "children" as the name implies ... we just have the title because that's what it was originally called, and it stuck. Plus, a lot of people have been here since they were 12 or so, it's just that the group has been around for a few years and now we're all older. Still, we try to keep it a relatively appropriate environment. ;)
As far as I know, Sana didn't even participate in the group and decided to make this unfair judgment. And well, I don't really have anything to say to her for being such a troll. Just ...

As for the rest of you WWAC-ers:

Even Colby?
I don't even know what to make of that. I'm just gonna pretend it was a compliment. >:(
If this is jail, this is one nice facility. :)

Ahaha, love you Colby. Take it as a compliment.
Reading all of these defensive comments makes me so happy. WWAC is so amazing and I love you all. <3

I propose a thingy.
When we're all NYT Bestselling authors, we each must dedicate at least one book to the lovely folks at WWAC. Or at least put it in the acknowledgments section.

I've already been planning this for ages. I mean, how can I get a book published and not acknowledge WWAC? :]

Yeah. :)
I used to always be probably the most active person in this group, and now I just come back as Jasper the Slightly Unfriendly Ghost.

These posts are awesome.

The only way it's like a prison is that once you get to know people, you'll realize you can't leave it.
Just saying. =3
