a very captivating but strange story about a man who discovers an unbelievable yet heavenly scent and what happens after the discovery was made. A MUST read even though it's an older book.

This is one of my all-time favorites as well! I heartily second this recommendation! Did you see the film they made of it, Sue?
I just finished reading, The Night Swimmer by MattBondurant. I really didn't like the book. It just
wasn't my type of book. I just don't understand how a
husband & wife who win a Pub in Ireland can go off into
two separate directions and pursue two different types
of lifestyles in a country where they have never been
before. I think it would have been more realistic if they both worked in the Pub and once it was established and turning a profit then the wife could pursue her open water swimming.
One of my all time favorite authors are James Patterson.Does anyone else feel that way about him? If so, what are your favorite books by him? Mine are Swimsuit &
Sail.
Sue, the movie of Perfume was actually quite good and certainly worth checking out if you love the book as much as we do!
Laura, I just finished reading, The Story of EdgarSawtelle. Thanks for the recommendation. I loved it!
Hi Sue, So glad you liked The Story of Edgar Sawtelle! I loved it. I also read The Night Swimmer...I didn't connect with the story, it seemed like it could have been two separate stories. I didn't like it. I am reading Summer Breeze by Nancy Thayer right now...a nice, easy summer read. Loving this light read!
Hi Laura, I just finished reading the Thirteenth Tale and I just could not get into it. Although there was something that drove me to see how it ended. Thanks for the heads up on The Night Swimmer.
I just finished My Sister's Keeper by Jodi Picoult the other day....it was incredible and heartbreaking at the same time and I absolutely loved it. I am definitely going to read more from her from now on.
Hi Sue, The Thirteenth Tale was a little slow-moving at times, something about it made it unforgettable to me...let me know what you think of The Night Swimmer. It came highly recommended.Hi Taylor, I have read all of Jodi Picoult's books. She really makes you think about complex issues. My favorite books of hers were The Pact and Plain Truth. My Sister's Keeper was a movie a few years ago---the ending was changed. I feel that it was a better book than movie.
I didn't like the Night Swimmer. I didn't realize it but I read it earlier this summer and commented on it.I just finished ordering Lullaby from the library so I'll let you know what I think when I finish reading it.
