This is not music, but listening to Lhasa De Sela and anticipating TSD reminded me of a politically active Chilean/Australian artist I used to know in the 80's called Juan Davila:

Ian, I have thought the same thing of you when I have seen you post music links - there's a lot of overlap in our musical taste. It's great to have a thread like this so we can combine love of books with love of music. Warning - I am as obsessed with music as I am with books, so I could get carried away here!

Chan did walk off for about 10 minutes. I don't know if it was a problem, the guys just did an instrumental.

I love Live at Rajis too. I've also got a lot of early boots and rarities.

Sadly, I don't have bootlegs, nor do I have many rarities, although I did end up getting deluxe editions of DS studio albums with rarities tagged onto the end bc I am a sucker for those albums for favorite bands. I am a record executive's marketing dream.... :(

<3 the Paisley Underground. What's not to love? :)

Blue Boy is my favorite song by Orange Juice - listening to it always makes me smile.

The instrumentation in Just a Girl is just lovely. It was good to read about Andy Diagram's career. I want to check out The Spaceheads now - I haven't listened to them before.
