How do you add the books in your list to the group shelf?

You should be able to click on bookshelf and then add books there. I'll make sure that isn't an admin-only option (if I have control).
Jenny do you have a certain type of book you are requiring for the group or can it be any book I read a lot of freebies and I am trying to "clear" my Kindle and I just want to make sure it is okay to update my list with my books.

The only rule is that they are set in the USA. Any genre, any year, any author.
Can we add a challenge to this shelf so we can track the number of books we've done (like on the Around the World page)?

Hi Jenny! My name is Laurel. I just joined your group. I have made my list of states in the personal list folder. When I tried adding the book title using the add book/ author feature beside the name of the state, nothing shows up. I tried several times. Any advice...I am doing something wrong? Thanks for your help.

Hi, Jenny. How do you post a link to your review? I always write my review in the large box that comes up once I check off The completed box on the 2013 Reading Challenge. So my review appears there, along with the stars I have allotted. But, you want the review to show up in the folder. How do you move it from the review writing template, to the where have you been folder, when you finish a book? Hope this makes sense. thanks for the help.

I'd like to try this challenge. I'm just getting back into reading after a long break and this sounds like a good way to jump back in .
I have 2 questions :
- are we supposed to go ahead and make the list out of all the books we plan to read ,then we can change a few if we find something else at a later date ?
-Can we carry over the challenge into the next year if we don't complete it this year ? I'm not a very fast reader .

Most of us started last year and we're still here... I think only one person actually "finished." Please stick around and talk about books from around the USA as long as you'd like.
You can read whatever you want, however you want. Everything counts - fiction, non-fiction, poetry, YA, etc. You don't have to have a complete list first, in fact sometimes people do that and then those books are the last things they want to read! Feel free to use our reviews as recommendations or to find your own.
It's really more about challenging ourselves to read from every state and to share what we're reading. Welcome!
Thanks very much . I've just been going through some of my books and have part of them filled in, so I'll at least add a few ,then can add more later or change up a few if I find others .This sounds like fun . :)

2. (Optional but very helpful!) Add these books to the group bookshelf and remember to select the state shelf as appropriate. This will help everyone locate book ideas too! There are also shelves for Washington DC, road trips, and hikes.
3. As you read books, post links to your reviews.
4. As we find books in common, people may decide to plan group reads, readathons, discussions.... just go for it!
