My library lends ebooks through Overdrive. Pretty convenient! Their selection was quite sparse until last year (originally, it was almost entirely self-help books), but they're gradually building it up.
I would love to have this in my library. The only problem is that my library system is very small so we don't have a lot of funds. I will look into the article and send it to the librarians
My local library lends ebooks. I've been using the system since it went live for Kindle in Fall 2011. There is usually a long wait for new or popular books, but I have plenty of other things to read while I'm waiting. Because of the waiting lists I rarely "keep" an ebook the whole length of the lending period and "return" them as soon as I'm finished.

It is from a library-industry magazine. -Some- of us are anxious to work with libraries!!!
