Sej (sejrose) | 1647 comments Ooh I never take a cross country road trip before but that sounds like fun if you go with friends. Perhaps we should all stop by each others houses. That way we get lodgings for free! Anyone?

Plastic water bottle or pretty personal water bottle.

Jim son of Jim (formerly PhotoJim) (jim_formerly_photojim) | 5294 comments glass whiskey bottle. Not a choice? Again? You people need to give me better choices. Fine, plastic water bottle.

Nicholas Cage haircuts: Valley Girl or ConAir?

message 1203: by KimKirt (new)

KimKirt | 1638 comments Con Air, hands down. That is my man! Thanks for feeding my addiction Jim, I do 'preciate it. I Nick.

An art show (sophisticated in a gallery with wine, etc.) or a night at the symphony.

message 1204: by Penney (new)

Penney (pschoener) | 3553 comments Oooo Kim, I heart Nick too! My fav movie of all time is The Rock with him and Sean Connery, mmmmm.

Irish Wiskey or Scotch?

message 1205: by Penney (new)

Penney (pschoener) | 3553 comments Just fake it Kim, I know you don't drink. :)

Jim son of Jim (formerly PhotoJim) (jim_formerly_photojim) | 5294 comments Single malt scotch.

(my new favorite question is...)
If you could time travel, would you go to the past or the future?

message 1207: by Kim (new)

Kim (catmommie) I would say symphony and neither on the liquors; I'm a beer gal.

beef burger or turkey burger

Jim son of Jim (formerly PhotoJim) (jim_formerly_photojim) | 5294 comments A burger is only beef. Everything else is some form of bastardized sandwich.

(my new favorite question is...)
If you could time travel, would you go to the past or the future?

message 1209: by Sej (new)

Sej (sejrose) | 1647 comments Awe man that's a toughie! Cause if I went to the past I'd know what the future holds and stop myself from doing things I regret doing! But future, well it would be great to see the future and all that and I sure love those futuristic romances. However since I don't know what the future holds I'd say the past.

Bollywood or Hollywood?

Jim son of Jim (formerly PhotoJim) (jim_formerly_photojim) | 5294 comments Hollywood. I know what you are going to say Ms. Patel and I agree there are some great Bollywood productions. But I'll still go with Hollywood.

latex or lace?

message 1211: by Sej (last edited Jul 26, 2010 05:55PM) (new)

Sej (sejrose) | 1647 comments Lace! They are so pretty. You've seen some Bollywood movies??? Which ones?

Ok fine. Bollywood dance or Hollywood dance? ha!

Jim son of Jim (formerly PhotoJim) (jim_formerly_photojim) | 5294 comments Bollywood dance. The group choreography is usually superior.

Blue Lagoon or Paradise?

message 1213: by Sej (new)

Sej (sejrose) | 1647 comments Blue Lagoon! Ok I haven't seen either but based on the synopsis and reviews, I predict I'd like Blue Lagoon better.

Armageddon or Independence Day?

message 1214: by Penney (new)

Penney (pschoener) | 3553 comments Independence Day, I like the Alien dreads.

Jim in regards to your past or future question, as an African American Woman I want no part of the past, I'm going forward!

Charlie's Angels: new or old?

message 1215: by Sej (new)

Sej (sejrose) | 1647 comments I dunno! But I'd go with new cause I did like the first movie. (was there a second?)

X factor or American Idol?

message 1216: by KimKirt (new)

KimKirt | 1638 comments Gawd Sej, you're killin' me! Re: Blue Lagoon, I made my mom take me THREE times. Hey, first legal glimpse of a penis on the big screen, okay? Charlie's Angels was a drama on TV. VERY popular, Farrah Fawcett, Jaclyn Smith, Kate Jackson. It was in the 70's. It was CLASSIC, every boy had Farrah pinned up in his room. Every girl wanted hair like Farrah or Jaclyn and smarts like Kate. They TRIED to remake it in a movie later in 2000 or so. Just not the same, at least to me.

Okay, where were we?

I guess I'll go with American Idol. I don't watch it every season though.

Glasses or contacts?

message 1217: by Sej (new)

Sej (sejrose) | 1647 comments Plain clear ones. I tried buying colored ones but they were too think. And they came ripped. Darn ripoffs! Never brought from that place again.

Credit Union or Regular Bank.

message 1218: by KimKirt (new)

KimKirt | 1638 comments Well, since I work at a regular bank I'm going with that one!

Working with the public or hiding away in your own office with minimal outside contact.

message 1219: by Sej (new)

Sej (sejrose) | 1647 comments Hiding away. There are just some things that are more relaxing without people demanding your help.

Your own mug at work or some styrofoam cup.

message 1220: by KimKirt (new)

KimKirt | 1638 comments Oh definitely my own mug. I even take my own mug when we tent camp. Just not the same drinking coffee out of styrofoam.

Candles or air fresheners?

message 1221: by Fran, Moderator (last edited Jan 28, 2021 05:40PM) (new)

Fran | 12278 comments I know someone who's house burned down from candles so I have to go with air fresheners

polished nails or bare?

message 1222: by Sej (new)

Sej (sejrose) | 1647 comments Bare! It's a hassle to upkeep the polished nails. Once they crack I never get a chance to redo.

Mac or PC

message 1223: by Sej (new)

Sej (sejrose) | 1647 comments iPod, and it's an MP3 Player! Is that a trick question?

I love my iPod and how easy it is to use and how so many gazillion accessories comes with it.

Running over frogs or squirrels.

Jim son of Jim (formerly PhotoJim) (jim_formerly_photojim) | 5294 comments Frogs of course. That way when I hit one, I can say the frog 'croaked'. (stop me before I pun again!)

Getting home from work late or leaving for work early?

message 1225: by Sej (new)

Sej (sejrose) | 1647 comments Ooh toughie! I'd say leaving for work early.

Stuck at home on Friday or stuck at home on Saturday?

Jim son of Jim (formerly PhotoJim) (jim_formerly_photojim) | 5294 comments I'd never say that I was "stuck" at home. I'm happy to be home with the family. Of course we usually have a crap-ton of things to do so actually spending a whole day at home is a rarity. Between the two, I'd rather be home on a Friday. After a long week, I love kickin' back with my wife with a drink and a tub and a bed. Not necessarily in that order.

Morning, well look what I found, sex or after work, I need to work off some frustration so it better be physical, sex or night, just tucking you because I know you sleep better and have good dreams after a really big 'O', sex?

message 1227: by KimKirt (new)

KimKirt | 1638 comments I can't figure out how many you posted to choose from, two? Three? We're morning people, to us it starts off the day, like a cup of coffee. So I'm going for the morning look what I found sex.

Trying to make small talk with someone at an event and they just walk away leaving you feeling awkward or a semi-stranger talking to you and you can't get away.

Jim son of Jim (formerly PhotoJim) (jim_formerly_photojim) | 5294 comments I'm confrontational sometimes. My home is my castle and if there is someone in my castle that needs to be expelled, I'm the one to do it.

You work out at the gym and have your change of clothes for work with you. After a really sweaty grueling workout, and a hot clean shower, you realize that you have forgotten clean underwear. Do you put on the sweaty dirty ones or go without?

message 1229: by Purple (new)

Purple (purpletan) | 1221 comments I'd go without and hope noone pulls a prank on me by pulling my pants.

Indulging your kids craving for candies and enduring a toothache later or just tolerate kids howling now to prevent the inevitable tootache if you give in?

message 1230: by KimKirt (new)

KimKirt | 1638 comments I'd tolerate the howling. I'm stubborn so have no problem in not giving in (but now my son is showing that little trait . . . hmmmm).

Disciplining other peoples kids in front of their parents or just letting them run wild because their parents are there and should handle it.

Jim son of Jim (formerly PhotoJim) (jim_formerly_photojim) | 5294 comments Oh, I tell the kid like it is right there in front of his/her parents. My nephew was being a general annoyance to his older sister and my sons. I stopped the current squabble and said, "Samuel. The other kids don't want to play with you right now because your being an asshole. Nobody likes an asshole." I listed two or three things I'd seen him do. "If one of your friends did those things to you would you like it?" He shrugged his shoulders. "You'd be pissed off. That's what they (the other kids) are right now. So you are going to sit here with me for the next five minutes and tell me what is going on with your Tae Kwon Do. When you are done you can ask the other kids if they'll let you play with them." I looked at each of my boys making sure they heard me and knew what I was saying. "If they don't, you come talk with me and we'll see if we can't find something fun for you to do." As soon as I turned him loose, my sister who had kept quiet throughout started to yell at me, "I can't believe you called my nine year old son an asshole!" "Well I thought it was better than dickhead." was my only response. Not another fight or problem all weekend.

Bacon: crispy or chewy?

message 1232: by KimKirt (new)

KimKirt | 1638 comments Crispy.

Don't worry Jim, I've been known to use that reference in front of my son. Just last night I said such and such was being an asshole. Of course my stepson snorted. Did I mention he has a degree in child psychology? I often ask him if I'm scarring his little brother for life.

BTW, stepson gave my son the first Harry Potter book for his birthday. I thought that was pretty awesome. Also "Redwall", the first in the series.

Carrots: raw or cooked?

message 1233: by Penney (new)

Penney (pschoener) | 3553 comments That's a tough choice. I'd rather have them both at the same time but I'll go with the corn since we had an incredible batch the other night. Sweet & juicy, mmmmm!

Jim, you're almost on my sisters level, she has gotten in the habit of calling my 11 year old a "ho". She says it while they're laughing and playing, "Shut up, ho!", but still.... She's 11 years old! When they get together they act like sisters rather than aunt & niece. I have to remind her the she's more than 30 years older!

Red meat: rare or well done or something in-between?

message 1234: by Fran, Moderator (new)

Fran | 12278 comments Rare

Trying to keep and old friendship alive when the other person is not as good at it, or letting it die a peaceful death and hang onto fond memories?

Jim son of Jim (formerly PhotoJim) (jim_formerly_photojim) | 5294 comments Really depends on the meat and the cut. As a blanket statement I'll go with something in-between.
Lamb chops - med well
Lamb loin - med rare
Filet mignon - rare
T-bone - med rare
sirloin - med well
flat iron - med well
skirt steak - med
prime rib - RARE (just pretend to cook it)
caribou ribeye - med well
The list could go on forever at this rate. but you get the idea

Ice cream cones: sugar or cake?

message 1236: by KimKirt (new)

KimKirt | 1638 comments I'd probably keep going with the friendship. Sometimes they lay dormant for a long time, then they can pick up again. Kind of like a 17 year cicada!

As for the ice cream cone, I'll go with the cake one.

Chocolate cake with vanilla icing or vanilla cake with chocolate icing?

message 1237: by Purple (new)

Purple (purpletan) | 1221 comments I'll try the chocolate one since I've never tasted that.

gaining weight or losing weight?

Jim son of Jim (formerly PhotoJim) (jim_formerly_photojim) | 5294 comments Right now I'd rather lose weight.

quiet mornings or busy mornings?

Jim son of Jim (formerly PhotoJim) (jim_formerly_photojim) | 5294 comments Skipping lunch. Then dinner tastes twice as good.

pants that are one size too tight and are uncomfortable to sit in or pants that are too loose and you have to hold on to the top to keep them up?

message 1240: by Nissie Lambert (new)

Nissie Lambert Hi,all! I just had to add my story. My mom was babysitting my sons when they were 3 and 5 years old. She walked by just in time to hear my 3-year-old shout "You're an asshole!" Of course she says "Don't ever call anyone that. It isn't nice." To which my sweet little boy replied (with a huge smile) "It's okay,Nana, that's what Mama calls Daddy all the time!"

message 1241: by KimKirt (new)

KimKirt | 1638 comments LOL @ Nissie! You have to love the innocence of kids! We were watching the TV guide channel a few years ago (I guess my son was about 6 or 7) and he goes "Look! Harry PETER is on!" ROFL! My stepson (who is in his 20's) was laughing so hard he fell off the couch.

Hmmm, Jim, I'll take the tight pants. I hate trying to keep things up if I'm walking.

Too tight shoes or underwear that keeps turning into butt floss.

Jim son of Jim (formerly PhotoJim) (jim_formerly_photojim) | 5294 comments I'll take the butt floss please. I can always go commando, but taking off the shoes is not always an option.

Bruce Willis or Robin Williams

message 1243: by KimKirt (new)

KimKirt | 1638 comments Bruce Willis. I like them both actually, but nothing like a good "Die Hard" action movie.

3D movies or regular 2D ones.

Jim son of Jim (formerly PhotoJim) (jim_formerly_photojim) | 5294 comments If it's good 3D (i.e. Avatar) that is the way to go. Otherwise, 2D is best.

Watching a fashion show: Swimwear or Wedding? (what they are showing, not what you are wearing)

message 1245: by KimKirt (new)

KimKirt | 1638 comments Wedding, definitely. I love the show "Say Yes to the Dress." I just love all the beautiful dresses. Swim suits? Meh. Doesn't do it for me.

You're hungry but nothing in the fridge or cupboard appeals to you, do you run out and get something or just make so with something at home.

Jim son of Jim (formerly PhotoJim) (jim_formerly_photojim) | 5294 comments Usually just make do.

Do what you're supposed to do or do what you want to do?

message 1247: by KimKirt (new)

KimKirt | 1638 comments I'm so a "Do what I'm supposed to do" person. No doubt!

Going to a venue alone because no one else wants to go or staying home and missing out.

Jim son of Jim (formerly PhotoJim) (jim_formerly_photojim) | 5294 comments I'm usually a stay home person. I like to go to events with people. Also, I have no problem entertaining myself at home in the AC at all.

The person below me is going to at least one music festival before the end of Summer.

message 1249: by Nissie Lambert (new)

LOL-That's hilarious!! I do love kids and they say the "darnedest things"! Needless to say,I learned how to censor myself a little better after that!
