Sarah | 367 comments Vampire Academy. The ending to the last one killed me!

"Human/vampire" ending or "vamp turns his/her love" ending?

Nichole (DirrtyH) (dirtyh) Human/vampire (I would like to read one book where the vampire becomes mortal instead of the other way around. I think living forever is waaaay overrated.)

pixies or fairies?

Nichole (DirrtyH) (dirtyh) (oh, i just thought of one. but maybe i won't mention it 'cause i don't want to ruin the ending of anything for someone...)

message 64: by Yz the Whyz, Moderator (new)

Yz the Whyz (whyz) | 9327 comments (I know one where the hero gave it immortality, but he wasn't a vamp)

fairies

Drustan or Dageus McKeltar?

Nichole (DirrtyH) (dirtyh) -I think I know which one you're thinking of, Yz, and I liked that it ended that way. I also thought of one where the vampire became mortal, and I think it's one you've read.

Drustan!

Historical Romance or Urban Fantasy Romance?

message 73: by Yz the Whyz, Moderator (new)

Yz the Whyz (whyz) | 9327 comments Urban Fantasy Romance -

Although I think the official designation is supposed to be paranormal romance as opposed to urban fantasy which might have elments of romance but is not really a romance.

Historical Romance or Contemporary Romance?

message 74: by Sarah (new)

Sarah | 367 comments Historical.

Seelie or Unseelie?

Nichole (DirrtyH) (dirtyh) Yz wrote: "Urban Fantasy Romance -

Tricky tricky, though, because you can have a paranormal romance that's also historical, while you can't really have a historical urban fantasy book. Yeesh. This gets complicated.

No problem, Breanna. It happens to the best of us. Welcome to the group. Hang around, join some challenges and just jump in to the discussions going.

kind of shifter: feline or canine?

Nichole (DirrtyH) (dirtyh) feline - there's something about that lithe stalking, prowling kind of movement. :) (as long as we're talking predatory cats and not house.)

vampires: ability to fly or no?

message 83: by Yz the Whyz, Moderator (new)

Yz the Whyz (whyz) | 9327 comments no flying..

Clint Mc Intyre is in Dangerous Game -Seal Series by Lora Leigh,
Ian Richards is from Killer Secrets- Seal Series by Lora Leigh.
So we will try again

Milk chocolate ( although I love dark chocolate)

Clint or Ian?

message 88: by Yz the Whyz, Moderator (new)

Yz the Whyz (whyz) | 9327 comments OH..i haven't read any of Lora Leigh Seals series..so I'm going to let somebody take this.

Unapologetic_Bookaholic | 2002 comments Cheryl: Just a thought cause I like the replies but doesn't really make me think as much if I haven't a real clue who yall are referring to =) thanks! I haven't read LL's Seals series either but I wanna=)

Cheryl (cheryllaflammegmailcom) | 86 comments Oh! you guys should put her in your TBR pile..

Yz the Whyz (whyz) | 9327 comments Cheryl,

No problem...I'm sure someone will come along and choose.

I have Lore Leigh on my TBR...I read a few of her Breed stories. Love her very hot, sexy style.

tosca (catatonichataholic) | 742 comments Clint "Iceman" McIntyre (Dangerous Games by Lora Leigh) without a doubt.

Gena Showalter's 'Lords of the Underworld' or Sherrilyn Kenyon's 'Dark-Hunter'

message 93: by Yz the Whyz, Moderator (new)

Yz the Whyz (whyz) | 9327 comments Gena Showalter's Lords of the Underworld

Story theme: bestfriends turned lovers or enemies turned lovers?

message 94: by Cheryl (last edited Jan 18, 2009 09:08PM) (new)

Cheryl (cheryllaflammegmailcom) | 86 comments Yz,
That's a tough one, but the enemies turn lovers always seems to be more interesting to me!

Tosca, I love the way you think!!
I have heard a few who prefer Killer Secrets to Dangerous Games. I love them all,but especially Clint!! So Alpha!!

Lucy Monroe ( author) or Christina Dodd (author)?

message 95: by Yz the Whyz, Moderator (new)

Yz the Whyz (whyz) | 9327 comments Christina Dodd

I haven't read Lucy Monroe. On the other hand, I finished Dodd's Darkness Chosen series. What kind of books Lucy Monroe writes?

stand-alone books or books in a series?

Unapologetic_Bookaholic | 2002 comments series

Even before romance I liked VC Andrews and read her books back to back whenever I read her series. I liked the continuation of the characters lives. Watching them grow. Does anyone know why she is listed in horror in most bookstores and at the LIB.?

paperback or e-books?

Nichole (DirrtyH) (dirtyh) paperback - I've never read an e-book, but I read the piece of Midnight Sun Stephenie Meyer has on her web site, and I got really uncomfortable having to sit in the chair at the computer the whole time. I guess you can print it out, but blah...

magical fight, or good old fashioned throw down?

message 98: by new_user (last edited Jan 19, 2009 10:55AM) (new)

new_user Throwdown. Because unless the author knows what she's doing, magic can be awkward to read, LOL.

I read my ebooks on my iPod so I can move. :) Oh, and here's another vote for Lora Leigh. I've heard Lucy Monroe's suspenses are steamy too.

in PNR: love at first sight or gradual love?

message 99: by Yz the Whyz, Moderator (last edited Jan 19, 2009 10:41AM) (new)

Yz the Whyz (whyz) | 9327 comments oh..this is hard...although some author can pull off the fated love thing..but my vote is..

Gradual love

heroine: ultra-feminine or tomboyish?

message 100: by ♥Tricia♥ (new)

♥Tricia♥ (siddie) | 407 comments Gradual Love definitely.

Spit-fire Heroine or Bashful and easy going Heroine?
