Maybe he got teary eyed because he was laughing so hard. I think that's more likely then cutting off a character.Also if he did kill off a character, then he'd get teary eyed off of a main one. It can't be someone subordinate like Ella. Someone in higher popularity like Thalia (though I really doubt that she'll die)It can't be the 7 demigods that are part of the big prophecy because they're obviously needed.. for the big prophecy.

Ya, but you know, someone clearly has to die. I win't really mind, unless, the one who dies is a main characters. Then I'll have my issues.

Alright so I changed my mind. Seeing as how Rick has to know that mentioning that he got teary eyed over a part of the book would have a major impact on us, he has to live up to our expectations; which is that someone has to die. But then again these books never really had any teary eyed killings. Just killings and it always turns out alright in the end, you know since this is a kids book and disney hyperion is monitoring the books. So it just seems really unlikely that someone important dies, it could always be that he got teary eyed because he was laughing so hard.

Also, how can you forget about Grover, Tyson and Nico?! They can't die!
One more thing. I want a character to die! This series has only killed off temporary protagonists! The only good death was Bianca's! Some people need to die! This book series is starting to bore me because no one dies! Someone NEEDS to die!
Before you get at me I was just stating my opinion, which is allowed.
