Finished the line: I know I'm a book addict because....despite having over 3000 books on my " To-Be-Read" list, I still buy more at every chance I can get!

First romance novel remembered: I have always been reading romances from jr high days with books by favorite -- Janet Lambert (see if anyone has heard of her!)and loved good old Nancy Drew mysteries. But I think my grandma was the one to introduce me to regular romances with an author named Emilie Loring. Anyone heard of her? She has quite a backlist and I'll bet no one ever requests her books now days but my grandma loved her books. I tried to find similar authors for her and found Glenna Finley and then Janet Dailey.
Finish the line: I know I'm addicted to books because I look for more books all the time. Even while working I'm on the hunt. I have 5 bookcases full and a few boxes full of books. When I moved 5 years ago I got rid of tons of books and now i must feel that I have to replace them.

I know I'm a book addict because I am never without a book, I have a book with me ALWAYS. I feel bereft if I don't have a copy of a book on me. I don't just keep them around for decorations, I actually read them.

Also, my family members are a lot alike, but I've ducked into a book instead of their lil drama-scenes...so I'm kind of an oddball in the bunch ;) Oh I almost forgot another reason I'm an addict: I seriously read myself into needing glasses when I was 18 and was supposed to be doing my home schooling coursework (Don't tell my principal/mom!)

When there was a reading challenge at school like read 5 books in three months, I would have my books read within the first couple weeks. And I would rather spend all day at a book store than any other store. I have a friend who says that some girls collect shoes and she collects books. That's why she and I are friends.

I think I read Wuthering Heights when I was 15, that might be the first romance novel. I guess it's amazing that I didn't name my son Heathcliff.
