How does this reading group work :)

My name is Maisha, and I am new to the group. Dystopian novels are my favorite, and I just finished reading 1Q84 and highly suggest it as your next book.

I was wondering how this group works; Does everyone read the same book(s) for the month and then discuss, or is it kinda more free-form where everyone reads whatever they want?

I think it's free-form I guess. It's hard to make people read things at the same time! I will put 1Q84 on the to-read list now.

Thanks for suggesting 1Q84 Maisha! Dystopian novels are also my preferred books, and I'm heading off to Japan in two weeks for holiday so it'll be the perfect read for me.
