Are these requests also posted in Recommendations

Goodreads has a facility for requesting recommendations for books based on whatever criteria the requester specifies. I'm wondering how many people posting in this topic use that feature as well. The responders may not be quite as book savvy as the folks here but it is a wider venue.

I use it heavily to recommend books, but the recommendations from others can be hit or miss. It's very good for genres like paranormal romance or YA, not so good the more specific you get.

I can't speak from experience, but it couldn't hurt to try there. I think genre specific Groups might be a better bet though.

Main thing though, everywhere, is to respect that the folks trying to help a person are just good-hearted volunteers and to respect them and the rules of their groups. :)
