So, I bought this when I went to get my Vlad book since it looked interesting, but I'm going to be honest here... If this doesn't get any better I'm going to scream. I want my 8 bucks back. I would have put it down by now, but I spent the money on it so I'm going to trudge through it.
*Crossing me fingers for a good ending*

Okay, I might be being a little hard on this one. It has a lot of action and it feels like there's a lot of potential, but my issue is that I don't feel jumpy or excited during the action scenes. I feel like I'm reading in monotone. Maybe it's just that I haven't quite connected with the main character, or maybe it's the writing. Someone else will have to tell me what they think.

Samantha | 432 comments I'll probably start this sometime early next week. We can compare notes.

Nichole ~Bookaholic~ (nicholebookaholic) | 185 comments I read this one last month...it was hard at first to get into, the saving grace was that the world and characters were interesting....what I found frustrating is that it is not very clear if the supernatural world is "out" or not (unless I missed something which is possible since I did skim some and the audio was dull enough that I did tune out some of it...)

Shera (Book Whispers) (sherabookwhispers) | 2445 comments I'll be reading it in a couple of weeks hopefully. I'm doing this one in ebook because I just got a vibe off of it.

Where did you get the book from Heather? If it's wallmart or something like that I always state that it was b-day present but they already bought it. (Mind you I rarely do this, only for the really bad ones.)

They weren't out, but a few humans know.

I thought about it, but I don't know if I have the receipt still and I'm sure you can tell it's been read even though I didn't mess up the bindings. I feel guilty.

Shera (Book Whispers) (sherabookwhispers) | 2445 comments Poor heather. It might have to be a "swap" book then.

Darcy (sunnytat462) | 2770 comments I feel like I should have liked this one better, but Edie drove me nuts. She was TSTL, making one stupid move after another. Her brother kept using her, she tried to put her foot down, but didn't follow through. Heck she even made the ultimate sacrifice to keep him clean, yet wouldn't tell him. She picks up a guy for a one night, then worries that he is a dragon shifter with syphilis and gets tested, finds the guy again then makes sure to use a condom this time. Runs into him later and basically tells him off, all the while moving onto a new guy. I liked the new guy, but I have reservations that it can work out.

I am not sure what to think of Anna or all the drama there. The vamps in this book were odd, sort of like a feudal system.

Because the main character drove me nuts, I don't think that I will continue with this series.

Shera (Book Whispers) (sherabookwhispers) | 2445 comments TSTL?

Shera (Book Whispers) (sherabookwhispers) | 2445 comments *giggles* Oooo, I'll have to remember that one.

All the reviews pouring in are starting to make me nervous about this book. I'm still really excited for it, but I don't want to waste any money on it . . .

Darcy (sunnytat462) | 2770 comments I wouldn't buy it, try for the library or used book store.

Shera (Book Whispers) (sherabookwhispers) | 2445 comments Yeah, it's going to be a long while before I get to try it . . . oh, well there's better books.
