I am excited to read your book. Love the premise! I just pre-ordered from Amazon and when I am at SDCC in a couple weeks I will have to swing by S&S's booth.

And a print edition will depend on sales -- I'm hoping the book resonates enough with readers to build demand to that point.

I like geeky things and I like cheap books so I picked up a copy.
Looks like fun, I'll give it a go. Geeky magic, urban fantasy, and helping out an aspiring author? Win/win/win.
Bought it for $2! It looks fantastic, can't wait to have a chance to read it.
So I finished the book, looking forward to the sequel now :) Next time a request for some Stargate, Ninja turtles (ok there was one small one), and Moon Knight references please :D.
I picked up a copy as well. It is on a growing stack of ebooks to read, if ebooks could be stacked.
Thank you all for the support! I think Stargate and TMNT are pretty likely for appearances in a sequel, but I'll have to read up on more Moon Knight to make that one happen. Luckily, I think there are enough geek culture jokes to supply a long, long series.
The book is on discount for another week or so -- I'm told the 22nd is likely to be the last day before it re-sets to the normal price of $5.99.
Well Ive already convinced a couple friends to pick t up through my facebook harassment. Im going to try and buy a copy for my friend who lost her job as I think she could use the pick me up and new reading material she doesn't have to pay for :).

I'm currently reading it and it is great geeky read. If tried to get my friends in, but regretfully they need dead tree editions.

Thanks, everyone!There are several ways to read without an eReader device, including in-browser methods from B&N and Google, but I know how attached many people are to dead tree editions, being a paper book lover myself.

Jim and I managed to both write geeky books with 'mancy' roots without one another knowing, and I think they have a similar appeal while being notably distinct. Happy reading!

They're subtly similar but, as you say, notably distinct - distinct enough that they don't feel like retreads or copies. Each one has it's own system of magic that is different enough from the other that the books exist well on their on. I could see them existing in the same universe though, which would be fun!

Celebromancy, the sequel to Geekomancy, will be coming 7/15/2013. My editor has it now, and then I'll be doing revisions so we have it ready early enough to go out widely for review.
Also, the audio rights to Geekomancy and Celebromancy have sold to Audible. With luck, Geekomancy should be available for direct transmission via ear-holes soon!

Book 2 is definitely not Celebimancy - in fact, there is romance, and sexytimes. :)Celebromancy is the magic of fame and celebrity -- the novel focuses on Ree's involvement in a independent TV production, including an infamously unstable super-star.
