Its weird, I had been thinking of making a post about lisitening to music while reading the book! When I first read this book years ago I was listening to Sarah Brightman "Its a Beautiful Day" and some of the lyrics really seemed appropriate.

(view spoiler)[ It is after the battle and its the day they are going to execute Melisande Shahrizai, Phedre is standing on the battlements, where she has been for most of the night, and this is what I think is running through her mind. Well not that its Phedre's last day, but she is thinking about how it will be Melisande's last day.
