I finished Decadent yesterday. I think the sex scenes were pretty hot, but Deke's issues seem too minor for a tough guy like him to have such a complex. Still a good read.

Thanks for the push to get it off my TBR pile.

Irina (reetu_416) | 504 comments I finally managed to read one of my picks The Undead Next Door (Love at Stake, #4) by Kerrelyn Sparks once again Kresley Cole has wowed me with her writing and i continue to be fascinated with the world she has created. Some really hilarious scenes but i can't help but feel that the quality of her writing is deteriorating and the action scenes are quite unsatisfying. I hope it gets better in the next book.

Thanks so much again for the picks...I finished reading The Perfect Play (Play by Play, #1) by Jaci Burton (had to use the cover)!! It was good, will hopefully get the next one in the series soon! :)

I read this book a couple months ago. I couldn't put it down, I loved it so much. I liked how their characters grew together.

Dawn (Kat N Hat) (katnhat) | 280 comments Finished Dark needs at nights edge, by Kresley Cole. It was great I thought I had it all figured out. The plot was plesently predictible. That is until the last 10 pages.

Hey Shell,
Thank you for your picks so far I have been able to read 3 of the books you picked out for me. I plan on reading 3 more.

The first one I read was Bared to you. Unfortunately I had already read Fifty Shades of Grey several years ago and this book seemed to be a lesser version of the book. If I had read it first I may have appreciated more but as it is I gave it:
3 Stars Bared to You (Crossfire, #1) by Sylvia Day

Then I read Claimed which I found pleasantly surprising. As a general rule I usually stay away from books and movies that involve aliens but I am so glad I gave this one a chance. It was very funny and engaging and I plan to continue the series. Overall I gave it:
3.5 Stars Claimed (Brides of the Kindred, #1) by Evangeline Anderson

Finally I read Trapped. Which was just not my cup of tea. I tend to stay away from horror books but reading with cannibalism just did not sit well with me. While I didnt care for the story I did enjoy the writing. Overall I gave it:
2.5 Stars Trapped by Jack Kilborn

I will add my thoughts on the on the other 3 books once I finish them.

Thanks again!

Fran | 12278 comments Hi Lekshmy,

I finished Major Crush by Jennifer Echols and really enjoyed it. The characters were smart, funny and so likable. Especially the band director. It was a fast, fun read and I wish it were longer! Thanks for the push to get it off my tbr.

It was a nice bonus at the end of the book to find that this was Jennifer Echols first published work and that she herself was the first female drum major ever at her high school.

Carla (carlacollette) | 347 comments Priyanka-
I just finished another (the second) recommendation of yours, Somebody To Love by Kristan Higgins . I really enjoyed its humor and quirky characters. I plan to read Higgins' other related stories about secondary characters in the book sometime soon. Thanks for the great recommendations--this was the perfect beach read for my beach vacation.

Now, I'm starting one of my picks from Ty, Once Burned - I am really looking forward to it!

I finished Once Burned tonight, too, and I also liked it a lot - maybe not quite as much as the Cat & Bones books, but still very enjoyable. Thanks for recommending it and reading it with me, Megan L!

I also finished a buddy read of Strange Bedpersons with Eimeriina a few days ago. It was just ok for me - not bad, but not great either. Definitely light and fun though!

Irina (reetu_416) | 504 comments I finished my Buddy read with Sue Tangle of Need (Psy-Changeling, #11) by Nalini Singh the book was an average read for me which is shocking because I am a huge fan of the Psy-Changeling series but somehow this book failed to impress me. I wish there was more plot contribution to Adria and Riaz's story.

Thanks for the pick Sue!

I agree with Irina. I did rate it a bit higher, but that is for the bigger picture that we did find out more about. I missed learning more about Adria and Riaz as well.

Actually, it sounds like I'm the one who should have been more clear - the buddy read stars are for buddy reads that are from the list that you picked for someone else. For a buddy read book that was picked for you, you get a solid star! :)
