Pinelopi | 3 comments The Republic by Plato, The Last Temptation by Nikos Kazantzakis, Z by Vassilis Vassilikos, and though it's out of print in English, if you can get your hands on The Flaw, by Antonis Samarakis, it's a sparingly written contemporary classic.

Christiana Hadji The Odyssey by Homer, The Last Temptation by Nikos Kazantzakis, anything by Elias Venezis, Stratis Myrivilis or Maria Iordanidou. Alkyoni Papadaki, Dora Giannakopoulou and Gregorios Xenopoulos are also great, though I'm not sure reading them in a language other than greek is a good idea.
