Londa (londalocs) Hi! Mom of two boys 8 and 12. Love to find new books for my boys and well.... I love reading middle grade books for myself. :D Some of my favorite books fall into this category. Glad to have found you!

Bree Wolf | 16 comments Hello everyone, I've just stumbled across this page and although I'm not really good at socializing I thought this was a great opportunity to exchange ideas. I've always been writing myself, but have only recently let others have a look at my "creations". I just self-published my first MG ebook FIREFLIES and am always looking for new inspiration. I've taught middle grade for the past 1.5 years and am now taking a break because I'm about to become a mom ... in only a few days to be exact. I'm really excited and therefore desperately looking for ways to keep my mind occupied! I'm really not good at waiting!

My daughter and I read the same books together a lot so I can get ideas, she can do better in school and we can bond. Looking forward to meeting everyone!

Bree Wolf | 16 comments Hello everyone, I'm Bree. After first becoming an addict of reading countless books until the wee hours of the morning, I have now followed down the same path with regard to picking up a pen and jotting down a few stories myself. Both is equally fun and unfortunately time-consuming that I often feel torn between diving into someone else's story and exploring my own.

Fireflies

Middle-grade is a fascinating genre and I'm really glad I've found this group. Any book recommendations are very welcome, especially from a boy POV. Thanks!

Lisen Minetti | 5 comments Bree if you haven't read The False Prince I highly recommend it. Great adventure from boy POV. Even manages to throw in some great political science lessons!

Sandy Fussell | 3 comments Hi, I'm Sandy Fussell and I'm an author (Samurai Kids series, Polar Boy) but I'm here as a parent and reviewer of middle grade books. I discovered how much I loved the whole younger readers genres - from picture books to YA - as I read what my kids were reading. I wanted us to always have something to talk about so when the day came when my boys didn't have much in common with mum's interests - there would always be books.

Hi Sandy,

Loved what you wrote here: "I wanted us to always have something to talk about . . . " I just realized how many of my conversations with my boys begin with discussions about something we've read : ) We're going to love having you in the group -- welcome!

Heimdall Thunderhammer | 6 comments Hi everyone! I'm Heimdall, a writer/illustrator/lover of middle-grade books, particularly fantasy. My favorite authors are Brian Jacques, Lloyd Alexander, Rowling, and Tolkien. I love meeting fellow fans of middle-grade books and joining in discussions!

I was born in Maine and have lived here all of my life (except for the chapter where I went to college at Emerson in Boston). I've never outgrown reading middle-grade books and comic books and knew my whole life that I would become an author myself, writing books primarily aimed at boys. I published my first book, Magefable, last year and just recently released the sequel, Talonridge.

L.R.W. Lee (lrwlee) Hi everyone. I just stumbled upon this group accidentally when I was looking for bloggers to be part of the virtual book launch tour coming the end of Jan for my 2nd MG book. It was swlothian's blog that directed me this way.

I read through several of the new member introductions before composing this and I am thrilled to have found a group like this. I can't wait to dive in :)

I'm Laurel from Colorado and I work in the children's department at a library. My favorite middle-grade reads are The Strictest School In the World by Howard Whitehouse, The Keys to the Kingdom series by Garth Nix, and the Incorrigible Children of Ashton Place series by Maryrose Wood. It's nice to meet you!

Hi there, my names John and I have just released my fantasy adventure novel 'Finley Flood - Mirrors and Glass' which is aimed at middle-grade readers and above. The content is entirely suitable for the age range with no language or sex issues.

Currently free on Smashwords, the link is posted in the 'Free books' section of the group.

Feel free to take advantage of the free offer and if you could post a review, that would be most helpful.

Thank you

✿ℎazℯℓ - thℯ ℛock Cℎick ℱairy✿ (haze09) | 2 comments Hello! I'm Hazel and I'm from the Philippines. I'm an online English teacher for Koreans and I love reading. I read almost every genre there is. However, middle grade books are close to my heart because this is the genre that started to make me read lots.

I joined this group because I think I need help with choosing books. :) I currently don't know many people who read the same genre, so it would be nice (and fun!) if I can talk to someone else about these books.
