SOLVED. Christian children's series about orphans in an orphanage. [s]

I think the name starts with L, like Laurel or something. I is about a girl who lived in an orphanage. She made some friends there I think, but was sent to a family. I think there were maybe three books in the series.

Not sure that this is it, but I'll throw out Elizabeth Gail and the Mystery at the Johnson Farm as possible, since she is called Libby, there are a lot more than three books in the series, and it's foster care rather than an orphanage.

Can you give a rough date of when you read it, or any more information?

It is not by Hilda Stahl.
The books were, I think, called the girls' names. One of the girl's names started with a T.
I read it about 8 years ago, but it was an old book. Set in early 1900's.
I think the girl was youngish, about 8 years old.
It was a short chapter book.
