Come on people! Do I need to get the whip out?

Now that I've said that, my IPOD will probably be ready tomorrow and I'll want to switch back.

I am switching my shifters book to Eona because I have it on audio too.

Not sure what I'm going to read. I have some Heather Graham ghost themed books on Itunes but I need to check series order and if they're actually shelved ghosts by someone.

Pretty When She Dies by Rhiannon Frater
4 stars
Finished 7/14/12
I was not expecting to like this book as much as I did. I actually only have a copy because it was a freebie for a short while on Amazon and was recommended by a fellow book blogger who raves about Rhiannon Frater books!
Well Rhiannon Frater has a new fan! I was immediately drawn in with her descriptiveness coupled with the alarming situation Amal finds herself in! Yea, it was another vampire story but it just had a different feel to it for me. I could almost imagine myself drifting alongside Amal, like I was there with her in her grave and adventures afterward. I also relished the fact that it just wasn't another one of those Mr nice guy vampire swooners. (which I am not knocking but I enjoyed having a break from) Here we get to actually experience some realization that vamps are not all cuddly and sweet!

Obsidian by Jennifer L Armentrout
5 stars
Finished 7/10/12
Let me count the times I put this book down before reading it from cover to cover......ummmm I can't get past one!!! This is one of the first books in a long while that just freaking totally blew my mind it was just that doggone awesome and I can't wait for Onyx!
I really hated Daemon in the beginning (I heard a hush of gasps) because he was so obnoxious and mean to Katy but once I came to realize why, I fell in love and my heart would pitter patter at every mere mention of his name...Daemon (see there it went again!)
One of the biggest things that drew me into this book other than omg dare I breathe his sweet name...Daemon hummmmmmmm (daydream break) was the fact that Katy was a book blogger! I loved reading about one of "us"! I can't remember right off ever reading another story that involved a book blogger and it made me feel more involved somehow or maybe better connected is the better phrase? Anyhow it was a total plus!
I came away from Obsidian with the knowledge that they do exist and the truth is out there! (I have been dying to say that like forever!)

Nice Girls Don't Date Dead Men by Molly Harper
3 stars
Finished 7/12/12
The second installment in the Nice Girls Series was okay but not as wonderful as book one for me. The whole thing basically centers around Jane's best friend Zeb and his wolf bride to be. The story just doesn't really have much mystery or power to it and I found myself struggling to get thru it several times. I'm also getting a bit bored with Jane's family situation as well...I'm like enough already! Tell them off, let them like it or lump it, and get on with your life er....unlife with that sire of yours.

Yeah, I had trouble with this one as well, which is why I haven't picked up the third book yet, although I probably will eventually.

I switched my shifters books again and will probably finish tonight. I switched to:

I gave it 4 because I would have liked it to be spicier. Also there are a lot of characters to keep track of and sometimes I got the dragons confused. Dragons are my favorite shifter. I love the concept of the firestorm.

For my ghosts book I will read: Anna Dressed in Blood.

Eon: Dragoneye Reborn by Alison Goodman

Shelf: New to You Series
Finished: 7/16/2012
Rating: 4 Stars
I really enjoyed this book. It did take me a while to get into to at the beginning, but then I was hooked and wanted to know what was going to happen to the characters. I am planning on reading the second one for another shelf.

I just came home from seeing Brave with my daughter. Anyone know of a highlander series with ghosts? I'm hoping my IPOD will be fixed tomorrow so I can use one of the 5 audiobooks that I have that are on the ghost shelf. They said the class cover would be in today.

Loved it......from beginning to end! This psy-human-changeling drama keeps getting better and better with each book. Can't wait to start on the next installment of the series!
In 2080 the war of attrition between the Earthlings and the Psy continues unabated with hot spots seemingly bursting everywhere as neither side trusts the other. Half breed Clay Bennett was raised by a human mother in the human slums without ever knowing the changeling leopard that sired him. Two decades ago as a youngster without a guiding pack he failed to learn how to control the animal instinct of his nature and caused a deadly incident that still haunts him even as he has dedicated his life since becoming a Dark River sentinel.
When Clay sees half-breed Talin McKade for the first time in twenty years, he is euphoric. She was his best friend as a child before the incident devastated both their lives. Like Clay, Talin has dedicated her life since the incident that shaped them she works at San Francisco's Shine Foundation helping needy children.
Recently some of her kids have vanished only to return brainless victims of Psy experiments to create a hive. As the half human half Leopard pair reunite and fall in love, they work together to try to protect the young from the heinous Psy experimentation.
The story continues to carry and expand the Psy-Changling Universe giving get more depth to that world. I could not put this book down. It grabs you and keeps you fascinated with it's complex characters and riveting storyline.

Good Job!! :D

I am halfway through my free space book, Clockwork Angel. I have started my ghosts book, but I think I will get my free space done and then go back to it.

OK I know her books are kind of formulaic. But I love them anyway. I'm a sucker for a good ghost story. This one made a fantastic audiobook. My dogs got lots of extra walking in this week so I could listen more. Graham's books always make me want to go visit the south.

Review:
This series has an interesting premise. Jace is an FBI profiler taken to an alternate Earth where humans make up only 1% of the population (the rest are vampires, werewolves and golems) and guns don't exist. This time around she is after a killer who is using comic books as inspiration. I was unhappy and confused by one part of the ending, but overall it was a good book and I really enjoyed the weaving of comic book inspiration. There is a hint of a triangle (which I hate), but the series has been pretty light on romance so far as it focuses on the characters and the crimes. Charlie, the golem, is my favorite character as he is just cool.

I'm too tired to do the review links/updates tonight. I'm going to bed. I don't even know why I popped in because I knew I wouldn't do any links if there were reviews. I'll do them in the morning.

I had a hard time getting into this one. It was slow going for me through all but the last 20% of the book. I just didn't really connect with any of the characters. I haven't decided if I will read the other books in the series. I am curious about some of the story lines, but I don't know if it's enough to read more of the series.

Shelf: Shifters

I really liked this one! I wasn't sure how well I would since I haven't read any books about merpeople before. I liked the characters and thought they were funny. It had interesting storylines. I will definitely read more of this series.

OK going to try and get our stamp requests done. I think that makes us caught up to just the last 2.
I'm already on disc 3 of my Demons book.
