You can look at the next few pages and see if anything inspires you, or if you know what you want to read then check the shelves that book is on and see if it qualfies. Happy hunting!

Looking forward to seeing what you think - it's been sitting on the shelf shouting "read me!" for ages now.

Are you still on vacation?"
I'm home now. That means I have a bunch of stuff here to get caught up on before I can really indulge in my reading:(

Shelf: Young Adult Paranormal
Finished: June 25th
Rated: ★★★★★
The fact that I loved this book is really saying a lot, I generally don't like high fantasy, I'm more of an urban fantasy girl. It took me about 30 pages to get used to the style of writing but then I was hooked. Katsa is Graceling gifted with the power to kill but she's really so much more than that. She's unbelievably smart and thoughtful. I really liked how she dealt with her growing feelings for Po and I loved how it ended. I will read the next books in the series even though I know Katsa plays little to no part in them (but I'm really excited to read Bitterblue)

I found it an intriguing world, still to pick up the rest but I will :)

I was thinking that it was a non-shelf read, I should have paid closer attention. I've gone through the first couple of pages and already found several that I'm dying to read so I'm going to have to think about it.
These are what I'm leaning towards (mostly because I want to start one or more of these series before July 1...for a challenge...of course):

I'm also considering:

I'll let you know as soon as I decide. For my free space book I'm going to have to wait til after the weekend to read it.

I understand how busy life can get especially with the kids. I've been running around like a headless chicken after my three over the past few days. My middle one finished nursery today and my eldest finishes school tomorrow. Hopefully after that my reading time will pick up. No guarantees though I'm about to change my eldests routine entirely and that is torture to kids with Autism. We'll see how it goes. I expect the worse and any better is a bonus :)
I hope you get things sorted.

choose kate daniels and wow!... can't believe u haven't read those. I haven't read the Women of the Otherworld or Dark Hunter though, I heard they centre on different characters for each book.

I've really only become an avid reader in the last year or two and it's thanks to my oldest so I was reading all young adult at first. Now I feel like a kid in a candy store with all these series and I wanna read them all at once.

haha poor u, i love night huntress and mercy thompson equally, but i gotta say that they are totally different, i guess that makes both even more unique. Its not like comparing a fruit to another fruit, its like comparing a fruit to a veg, and both are good for you. XD
EDIT: but in my opinion, mercy thompson is more.. mmm... how should i put it....mm... well-written? plotwise, both are equally good

Michelle, I didn't even see that you had commented. I bought Graceling in Hardcover because it was a $3.99 deal, so now I want to wait until I can get the others in hardcover for a deal as well. I'm hoping Fire shouldn't be too far off but Bitterblue is probably going to take a while. I wasn't even going to buy it but I thought why not for the price, I'm so glad I did.

(As a back up, I may use Web of Lies if I'm pressed for time, but for now it's Jeaniene Frost)

That's ok, I bought

I enjoyed this one, I think I'll enjoy the rest of the series more though. I'm really curious about Dage and Emma - their book is the one I'm most looking forward too.
Zane has me curious, him and Janie and what exactly is going on there.
I liked Talen to a point, I'm glad he finally learned Cara's name. It got a little teddious after a couple of hundred pages of him calling her "Mate". I do remember the early days when you got goosebumps every time you could say Hubby or Husband, it just went on too far. I can't believe Cara wasn't more upset about Janie and being apart from her for the first time, especially for so long. She should have been her first priority and not her sister.
I loved the world, the premise of the story, the different factions. I really liked Jordan and Katie. Their story should be a good one too. A couple of niggly bits but on the whole a very promising first in series book.

I keep thinking I'll update tomorrow, and then I find that a whole week has gone by without me posting! Well, I just finished my Favorite series shelf read today, 28/06. I read

I love any excuse to hang out with the Cornick men, so reading about Charles and Bran is no hardship for me. And Patricia Briggs' storytelling majorly works for me, so there is not much I can say except that I enjoyed myself, and that my $12.99 was well spent. However, I do have a bit of criticism (which is mostly old criticisms of the boooks rehashed), because I see them more clearly now, but that is more to do with the world as a whole than this particular book, so.... And I miss Samuel soooooo much! :( But yeah, four stars!

I'll update the lists and request our first stamp :)

Thank you!
I have officially requested our first stamp now, good reading ladies!! We are only 1 book away from our Free Space stamp too. Wont be long until the next shelf is announced :)
Happy Reading!!
