Title/Author: Archangel's Blade by Nalini Singh
Date finished: 22nd August
Rating: ★★★
Review: I have to admit that apart from Angels' Blood, I haven't really loved the Guild Hunter series, and much prefer the Psy-Changeling books instead.
In Archangel's Blade, the beginning was very slow and there were two hunts going on at once which kind of made it confusing, and it's not like you could guess who was behind it because as far as I know the villains were all new characters. Lots of torture bits with balls torn off, eyes popped out, hearts ground to pulp - after a while it's not that shocking, rather like, well, what else is new?
Didn't really connect much with Honor (she, of course, is damaged) and I wasn't sure how I felt about (view spoiler) . I got a bit bored with how many times the words sensual, sinful, dangerous, cold, razor, fur, blade, ancient, dark, menace, lethal, cruel, etc. were used, particularly in reference to Dmitri.
I was interested in Sorrow, dare I predict her and Venom? I would be very excited to read about them, especially as they both have a kind of mesmerizing power.
I also loved when Ashwini and Janvier were mentioned. Surely, they deserve a book!
I like the sound of Aodhan but does everyone have to have a tortured past? Surely, there can be a more upbeat character?["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>

Review: I loved this even more than the first one, Westcliff and Li..."
.....Lol I was really confused for a minute there as I myself just finished reading this one last night. I saw the bookcover at the top of the post and thought "Huh....I didn't THINK I had posted a review here...". Big Duh moment when I saw that you had just read it also. X.x

BTW... if you look HERE it's been determined that the next shelf will mean BINGO for at least one team no matter which is called.
We are the only team for Sci-fi Romance and one of two teams for Kick-Ass Heroine.... We wouldn't be in the running, but the shelf making the most interesting race would be Reader's Choice as it has 5 teams.

Shelf: 2011
I'm not a big romance reader, but something about Nora Roberts books makes me want to read them. I had little hard time to get into Vision in White, but when i did it was amazing. I like the story, the characters and how real it felt. It's always good to read a book that has a strong minded main character who tries to get over her problems in life and be happy.

Review:
I am a die hard Sherrilyn Kenyon fan and have been reading her books almost religiously since the first DH book came out... That said...Gah... I don't even feel like reviewing this... Here goes though.
I've read some reviews and a lot of them tend to sayt he same thimgs about the author having now introduced one too many pantheons. I don't really agree only because she's expanding the world and she is able to do it in such a way as to let the reader know that everything is connected AND that other things are happening in the world.
So that wasn't my problem... My problem was that it felt to me as though 3/4 of the book was "sayings" and flashbacks. It got to the point of the first love scene and I almost missed it, my eyes were glazed over so much.
However, back to a plus, I did think that this book rounded out Retribution nicely. It was almost like a part two to it.

Review: This series is so great. It's so fun and interesting, I love all the mythology and the characters and the plot. It's easy reading, only taking a few hours, and I can't wait for (but will be very sad to) read the last one :)

Review: I loved this even more than the first one, Westcliff and Lillian really suited each other. Also, I really enjoy all the interactions with the rest of the Wallflowers - they're all so unique. Not a dull moment in the book and had to go straight onto 'Devil in Winter' (especially after the end) and have finished it already.
