I knew that the Irish were not exactly popular when they came to America, and often competed with African Americans for jobs, but I didn't realize that the Irish were persecuted and run out of town just as African Americans were.

message 669: by Alice (new)

Alice William http://walkinginword.com/

Walking in the Word is a journey through my study of the Bible. I’m humbled as I study through the scriptures and comprehend what God has in store for me as He reveals them day after day. It is an effort to keep myself motivated in consistent reading and study of the Bible while encouraging others through my studies. I record my Bible studies and thoughts on other Christian books that I read.
