I just sent message to Yasmani with some picks. I saw she was currently reading Graceling (magnificent, engrossing book but longish and one where characters/world lingers). With rest of series books 500+ pages and since not finished or rated Graceling yet, wanted to ask before committing her to more of a series she may not be liking even if on to-read shelf. Offered up some lighter (in tone and in number of pages) choices.

I am picking Goblin Quest by Jim C. Hines for Yasmani. Author also just released all three books of trilogy (this is #1 in series) in an omnibus edition if preferred to purchase that way The Legend of Jig Dragonslayer in print version with ebooks expected.

Yup, I know. I have a warped sense of humor but this one is a personal favorite and a good change of pace after the-nothing-comparable Graceling she read.

----note to self----next time I am picking for others or for myself, check for Kindle "loan enabled" or Nook "lendme" options. Then the pair can legally loan out to each other. (Gossip Girl and Goblin Quest alas were not).

I finished my book BEAUTIFUL DISASTER. Not as interesting as I thought it would be, and I did not like how the main characters treated each other by the end of the book I just wanted to yell STOP, all that fighting was tiring. I gave it 2 stars.

I get a lot of books from the library. Is that an option for you? You might want to make a TBR list of books you own or can borrow that way money is not a problem. I have done that myself.

I completed FALLEN yesterday. Honestly I was routing for this one but I was disappointed. It started out great and totally bomb the last 5 chapters for me. I will read the next one to see if my answers will be answered because I am curious. I still gave this one 3 stars.
