Perhaps I should take the squiddling reference out. It seemed appropriate at the time.

Oh dear, me too!! You could have warned me!! :-)

The little Mermaid gathered all the little fishes around her. Settling gently onto a rock, she softly sang to them of all the wonders of the land above.
Of the tall majestic trees and the gentle grasses, little fluffy lambs and all the talking animals.
The little fishes listened all agog; to hear the tales she had to tell.
Of the farmyard with the big red rooster and the little brown hens, of the brown eyed cows, and baby calves, which played in fields of green. The woolly sheep with the little lambs, leaping and jumping in the spring sunshine.
How the farmer lived in a large white house, with the thatched roof. And the sheep dogs who worked for their living. All the barn cats that kept the little brown mice from the corn. The cheerful farmer’s wife, who fed the chickens’ daily, was big and round with rosy cheeks.
The little fishes giggled and squirmed to hear such amazing things. The baby crabs listened, their eyes all on tiny stalks at such wondrous things.
The little mermaid smiled and sent them off home to tea, and dreams of magic beings that lived on the land.

Very good indeed though.
As it is the weekend now is the time to get the headphones on and write your submission......
