Here's how it works:

*Fill in each letter of the alphabet with a title or author of a book that you've read that begins with that letter (i.e. American Psycho for the letter A).

*Articles (a, an, the) don't count in alphabetizing, so skip to the first letter of the next word (i.e. A Thousand Splendid Suns would count for the letter T, The Great Gatsby would count for the letter G, and so on).

*Titles that start with or are entirely comprised of numbers, will be alphabetized by how they would be spelled when written out in English (i.e. 1984 would count for the letter N for Nineteen Eighty-Four).

*The letter X space will be special. The title will only have to include the letter X to count (i.e. Don Quixote). This isn't necessarily as easy as it sounds.

*You can use the first or last name of the author (i.e. James Patterson could count for the letter J or the letter P)

It would probably be easiest if everyone starts a new topic with their challenge and then updates it as they go.

Well, there it is...hope everyone has fun! :-)

Charity (charityross) Wow! This is the EXACT same challenge I created last year in The Book Challenge group....word for word.

I guess I should be flattered. It is a fun challenge.

I wish you wouldn't have copied my post without permission though. :-(

Sorry! I found it and had it copied on my computer when I started it last year. I couldn't remember where I got it from, but I knew I had a blast doing it last year so I just put it up for everyone to do.
