How to make a list static?

There is a tick box "Static List" on the set up of a list. I have edited and ticked the box. This should only allow the creator and librarians to add books.
I would add a section to the list title / about section indicating that only books on Donald Barthelme's Reading List should be on this list. That way should a librarian add one (since we are not perfect) there is a justification for removal.

Librarians make mistakes?!?Thanks, Paula, I appreciate your help :)
Pretty sure I didn't see the tick box you mentioned, though.
Will make the other changes soon.
Cheers!

I think it got extended to supers at some point. For cases like this. ;)

But you can't actually vote on a static list. There are two voters on the Barthelme list, who both voted before it was made static. Now it's just a "challenge."

Like many of the "Best of..." lists from journalistic sources, I'd like to make this a static list.
How do I do that?
Thanks!
