"You feel better now?" Tessa asked suddenly.

"I always feel better when your around." He said, holding her hand, "You should rest." she told him, "But i feel fine!" He insisted
A sudden thought occurred to her "why were you following me," she asked.
Jem looked ashamed but also slightly bashful, "I-I, well with everything going on I realized how short life is and so I shouldt waste my time here, alive. " he looked down. "Jem, what are you saying?" Tessa asked slightly confused. "I'm saying I love you, but I have a confession to make. I'm bisexual." Jem whispered. "Excuse me?" Tessa sputtered. "I like women like you but I think I like men too." he explained. Tessa didnt know what to say, "Well........((sorry for the unexpected-ness haha, TEAM WILL!!!!!!!))
((Team JEM!!!!))He smiled, "I never was at good at making Jokes like Will..." then his smile faltered, "I usually get this sort of reaction." and what was the most unexpected thing of all-not that he followed me, or that he had made a terrible joke, but that he was now kissing me.
(Okay. Let me get this straight. Jessie like Mortmain. NOT. Valentine! He's the bad guy. The antagonist. -.- And Jem. JEM! A BISEXUAL!? O_o?? I team Jem. And don't ever make Jem look embarrassed whatsoever. Will mustn't too.)
His kiss was soft. Well, at first anyway. Tessa wanted to pull away. To slap him for touching her without her permission, but she couldn't. She just can't seemed to move herself. And do such a cruel thing to Jem. Oh, Jem. He was now kissing her viciously. Even fiercefully. How Tessa like his lips. The very presence of his on her.
[Ignore the description. I tend to exaggerate. >w<]
(Loll Flora, that's such a typical Tessa thing to do..the boys kiss her and she just goes with it!)Her heart raced. Tessa closed her eyes and wrapped her arms around Jem's delicate neck as she began kissing him back. Jem held on to her with a strength that she never thought someone so slender could possess. She ran her fingers through Jem's silvery hair and inhaled his sugary sweet scent feeling that that if she died at this present moment, she would die happy.
Tessa broke off sideways for air, but Jem carried on kissing gently down her neck, sending shivers down her spine. Tessa, unexpected, let out a small moan. Jem froze suddenly at her moan. Cupping her face with his slender hands, he stared into her chocolate coloured eyes and with a look of relinquish, gasped "I love you Tessa.. so, so much." He looked down to his feet as if trying to put his words together, then looked back up.
"But I am being selfish, and only looking to my own feelings without asking yours. D-do y-you feel the same? Have you, by any chance.. changed your mind? What do you feel, Tessa?" He stammered as he averted his gaze again, waiting for her answer; his face falling as he was sure he would only get wounding rejection.
Tessa stared at him wide-eyed. "Jem . . . I-I'm sorry . . . I thought I loved Will, and I thought you were just my friend. My reliable friend.""Tess, I'm so sorry-"
"But, I realize there's something more. I can't marry Will, not when I feel like this . . ."
"Like what, Tessa?" Jem whispered, his eyes showing a shred of hope.
"Like I love you."
"That's what I wanted to talk to about." Jem said sadly. "You have to be with Will. He isn't dying and he loves you more than I do.""What??!!" Tessa exclaimed. "What do you mean I HAVE to be with Will? I don't have to do anything! And you're not going to die! I refuse to let that happen. Besides, I didn't think that Will actually liked me, the way he acts around me..."
"Of course, he loves you! He loves you mare than I've ever seen anyone love someone. Also, Tessa I am going to die sooner or later. So, please be with Will!"
Tessa shook her head as tears pricked her eyes. "Jem, everyone must die eventually. I could die at this very moment! But being with you makes me feel safe. You make my life stable."
Jem wiped her tears as he said in a hushed voice "But Tessa you are..".
"I don't know what I am!" Tessa interupted, "But I know that I love you"
"And Will?" asked Jem
Tessa bit her lip as she struggled to find words that expressed what she felt for Will.
Eventually she whispered "Will deserves someone that loves him completely, With all their heart. Mine is divided."
Jem started at her longingly, pain clear in his eyes. "Oh, Tess . . . I love you. But, I want you to be with someone who can take care of you . . . I don't want you always to have to take care of me.""It doesn't matter," Tessa said, her voice edging on hysteria. "Jem, it doesn't matter, and if you love me, you have to accept that I love you. Sick or healthy; and I will do everything in my power to find that cure for you. Because I love you so much."
Tessa knew Jem wanted to tell her that there isn't a cure. She could see that he wanted to bog down his hope and tell her not to get hers up . . . but instead he leaned in and kissed her gently on the lips.
"Thank you," he whispered.
QUESTION: Why would Jem settle for Tess if her heart is divided? It's like her saying I'm not good enough for Will but I am for Jem. What's up with that!? I <3 WILL!

OMG This is my favorite line in this whole story. When I read it I started laughing so hard I cried!

-Okay, this story is getting way to confusing. TEAM WILL!-Tessa and Jem walked back to the institute, it was almost midnight. After Jem left, she walked into her room and lay down on her bed. Tessa felt lost and alone. Her feelings for Jem grow stronger with every kiss. But her heart aches to feel Wills touch.
A light knock on the door interrupted Tessa's thoughts.
Jessamine poked her head into the room, and after a second walked in holding a black track suit. She paused and held it out to Tessa and whispered, "it's time."
"You seriously are going to make me go through with this after the day I've had?" Tessa asked sarcastically."Of course!! You promised!" Jess exclaimed.
Tessa promptly burst into tears because she knew that Jess was the only one who would understand what she was going through.
"What's wrong?" Jess cried. "It's Will and Jem again, isn't it?"
Tessa spilled the entire story while Jess simply listened and comforted her, until the end.
"W-w-what sh-should I d-do, Jess? I don't know who to listen to, right know and my heart won't give me an answer!" she blubbered.
"Honestly, hon if Will wasn't like my brother, I would so go with him. He won't break down in the middle of protecting you like Jem might. Plus, he's has more years ahead of him than Jem does."
Arggg, I'm so confused Tessa said. I love both of them. Tessa," Jessie said "you love them both but in what way do you love Will and in what way do you love Jem?
"I'm not sure, see with Jem I feel safe and protected, but with Will I feel like some sort of spark has been ignited and I'm about to set fire. It's scary but so exhilirating that I just want more," Tessa explained. Jessamine smiled sadly," Then I guess you have your answer." Tessa was confused, "What is it?" she asked."Love is not safe, not at all. You cant go with the easy choice. Go with the one that is scary and new and exciting. The one you have to work for. The one that gives you a spark," Jessie explained. It all made sense now, Tessa knew what she had to do, who she really, truly, loved.

Tessa! Jessamine hissed and tried to catch up with her but she was to fast.Will Tessa said once she found him alone in the library Will I love you.
"Jem" she grabbed on to his wrist " please listen to me " Jessamine helped me sort my feelings out and I relized I love you like a best friend. Jem if you really think about it I think you love me the same way. There is still a better person out there for you and you will find her some day- " Tessa I was coming to tell you if you choose Will i'll be happy it as long as you both are happy.
"What?" she asked, "Your okay with that?" he nodded solemnly, "I love you-and always will, but you deserve Will." now she wasn't sure who she loved more and ran out of the institute in confusion.(TEAM JEM!))
She ran into Will while she was walking and she said "Will I need to talk to you." "About what"he asked carefully . " I love you not like a friend ,but more than that... "Tess"he said with hope "really? " Yes, she said really I do love you- the rest of her words were cut off when Will kissed her!(Team Will)

She kissed him back passionately. "Will, I love you so much" she said breathlessy, breaking away from his lips and kissing down his neck.
Will's beautiful eyes widened as if he had just realised what she was saying.
"What?! Tess don't say that." he whispered anxiously. Holding her at arms length he carefully examined her face, fearing that she might drop dead at any moment.
(I'm Team Will but I do feel sorry for Jem)
"will, What's wrong?" he looked shocked, like he couldn't believe what had just happened, "I-I can't do this Tessa. I can't do this to Jem." Tessa Pushed Will away, "Make up your mind!" she yelled at him, "One minute you love me and the next you can't stay near me! I'm going to bed and Don't Follow."
(Okay, I know we all love Will and Jem, but lets do something else for awhile, let Will and Jem take a break. TEAM WILL).Tessa returned to her room, silent tears sliding down her face. She grabbed the sweat suit Jessamine gave her and put it on, it was way to small. She walked towards the mirror and closed her eyes. When she opened them she saw Jessamine. Tessa put her hands in her pockets, and hood on. Then opened the door and started to walk towards the front of the institute. In her pocket was a note from Mortmain, "come to the little bridge in the park, -M." Tessa walked out the institute and walked down to the bridge. Nothing bothered her on her way there.
It was dark and a cold wind blew off the river she wasn't bothered by a soul since she was alone on the street till she heard a "click click" of something metal walking along behind her
She quickly turned around but all she saw was the dark grimy street behind her. Slowly she entered through the tall iron gates of the park, cautiously walking in the shadows until she saw the little bridge.
((AAAHHHH!!!! YESSSSSS WAITING FOR THIS MOMENT FOR YEEEAARRSS!!! WHY DID IT TAKE HR SO LONG???!!!!!! (happy dance))Will looked up. The most silly, bewildered expression crossed his face as he got to his feet and ran to Tessa, sweeping her in his arms.

Tessa gasped from relief that he had finally made up his mind about her and kissed his cheek ecstatically."I think I finally have myself figured out, Tess." Will said solemnly. "I love you forever and will never let myself forget."
Then he spun her around in the air and kissed her. They both forgot that Jem liked to come to this bridge when he couldn't sleep and tonight was one of those nights.
"What is going on here?!" Jem asked angry and a little sad. " How could you do this to me, Tessa??!! I thought that you didn't like Will after the way he's been treating you!!"
"Jem! I told you before, I only love you as a friend and I love Will as a lover. I shouldn't have to explain that to you again. Actually, I shouldn't have to explain that to you at all!" she said defiantly.
"Good." Jem smiled. "You aren't going to give up on Will because of me. I wanted to be sure of that"

((ummmm she was going there to meet mortmain, and she still looks like Jessie, and neither boy knew about the plan......again soo confused, how did we go from mortmain and the bridge to will and jem??))
(oh jeez srry guys!!! i completely looked at the wrong comment!!! btw I was the one who said the Will looked up after the bridge...I don' even know where I looked...I am soooo confused...)
Thank you Jem this means so much to me. She hugged him and went back to Will's side, their fingers entwined.
She remembered she still looked like Jessimine and she remembered why she was here. "Will! You have to leave, I'll explain later but you and Jem-You both have to go!" she shooed them away and they looked slightly confused but left anyway.
As they walked away, Mortmain walked in. "Ah, Jessamine. You do look wonderful tonight! How are you, my sweetheart?""Actually, I need to talk to you about something, Mortmain. I can't keep up this relationship any more. I'm sorry, but we're done."
"What??!!" he exclaimed, incredulous. "I can't believe this!!"
"Well, you had better believe it because it's happening. Good-bye, Mortmain." Tessa said and swiftly walked away.
Once, she was back at the Institute, she Changed back into herself and told Jessamine that it was done. Then, she sought out Will and kissed him again before going to her bed and falling into a deep, blissful sleep, filled with amazing dream about Will.
In the dream Will and Tessa were in a carrige and Will was being crazy as usual, he made her laugh she leaned forward to kiss him and woke up. When she went to look for Will he was in the hallway next to her door,she was thrilled when she figured out he was looking for her as well. "Tessa why did you tell us to leave yesterday,what were you doing? Will asked curiously.
"I was helping Jessamine" replied Tessa "but that's all I can tell you because I made a promise to her".
(Look. Oh my god! I kinda don't like the Will, you all Will-fans are making him into... Why don't we make Will sarcastic, awesome, amused. Hmm? How about it!?)'So...?' Will asked, raising his eyebrow slightly. 'Ah. I see. Doing something behind our backs. I'm watching you, Theresa Gray. And what about you leaving?'
'Look, Will Herondale. Dont you dare think that you can boss me around. No one does. Besides, I'm leaving. Tonight.' Tessa said, coldly.
"Wait, what!! I didn't mean that!!" Will exclaimed horrified. "Why would you leave?""Because I can't take it anymore! You tell me that you love me and then talk about me leaving like you want me to!" Tessa yelled.
"I'm sorry, Tessa. I'm just so used to having to try and keep you at a distance. Old habits die hard, you know."
Tessa gave him an "are you serious?" look. Will responded by smirking. Tessa rolled her eyes and started to walk away when Will grabbed her wrist and pulled her back so they were facing each other, almost touching. Staring at his chest, she could feel his breath on her face, making her shiver. "Tessa," Will said in a whisper, his voice trembling, "look at me." She raised her head slowly so she could look in his eyes. When she saw them she screamed. His whole eyes were black. No white or anything, just black. She started to pull away but his hold on her wrist was too strong. He smiled at her, showing giant, needle like yellow teeth. He pulled her into him, all the while kicking and screaming for help. He opened his mouth wider than humanly possible and bite into her-
Tessa woke with a scream. She sat up and looked around frantically. When she realized she was in her bedroom she slumped back into her pillow, mumbling, "bloody hell".
Tessa was deeply unsettled by the nightmare. When she closed her eyes all she could see was nightmare Will with his eerie black eyes and razor sharp teeth. "It was just a dream" she told herself out loud in an attempt to calm down, "it wasn't real! just go back to sleep".
She was just about to nestle back into her covers when someone knocked on the door of her bedroom.
A familiar voice followed a second sharp knock "you do know that talking to yourself is considered to be the first sign of madness!".
Tessa felt her heart race as the handle slowly turned.
"Yes. I did know that. Did you know that it's rude to barge in on someone so early in the morning, Will?" Tessa demanded as he waltzed into her room, grinning."Yes, I am well aware of that, but who said I had to abide by the rules of chivalry, hmm?" he said sarcastically.
"Ughh." sh groaned. "You are truly impossible, Will Herondale!"
Of course he knew she didn't mean, as she walked towards him and gave him a kiss.
Their lips moved together like they had many times, but then in a flash, she saw the razor sharp needle teeth and felt them in her neck. She pushed Will back and he looked at her with sad face. "Tess...?" he said before she ran out of the room crying. She found an empty room and flopped onto its old, dusty bed trying to stop her wheezing. She could here Will calling her name but she couldn't, wouldn't go out there. Then the door opened, revealing Henry......((I liked the nightmare so I decided to run with it))
Who was surprise, surprise working on another one of his inventions and looked up worriedly at Tessa, who simply shook her head. Henry then went contentedly back to whatever he was working on. Will finally found her, curled in a ball, shaking back and forth. When he asked her what happened, she started sobbing and told him all about the nightmare and why she has freaked out earlier.
