Yes Bryn...I need some kind of new excuse. Bring on a long one Terri!

Should keep both camps happy during the voting at least. :)
And both SHOULD be readily available in libraries around the world (famous last words)
In the Ancient..I am still working on that one.

I'm with you, Alicja. I didn't participate to the last buddy readings because I haven't been able to find the books - if not buying them..
As for the December read, I trust your good taste, Terri, as usual!

Ok, I am intrigued...now to wait for the polls!

Makes it worthwhile when you like them. If you didn't there may have to be some self flagellating involved. :)

All what matters is that they have words that we read or words we can listen too. ;)

Ahem....waiting....:P

I usually release the polls to the wind the 6th or 7th, so I'll be releasing them today.
Let's see if we can't get you guys some good books to read over Christmas. :)

I put it in a poll over a year ago. But the group has grown so much since then, that I decided to include some of these past losers from time to time.

I thought I would include a biggen' in each poll for those who want a door stopper to read over Christmas.

lol. Now I am singing ABBA. Damn. :)

Same here. Sitting there on the shelf, fluttering it's pages at me when I walk by.

I'll read Lionheart, although I voted for Pure.
I may see how I go. If Darcy is going to read God of War, then I might not read two big books in December. I might be able to talk Darcy into leading the Ancient discussion while I lead the Lionheart discussion. :)
But then, Stonehenge is far from knocked out.

Same here if the library copy doesn't come in by Dec. I've got my name in. Someone's got it checked out -- only copy in the whole 4 county LS!

I had an unplanned trip to the library this morning. Was walking in passed the 'just returned' book shelf and what was sitting there calling me? Pure.
It is one of those large text for the sight impaired ones, but I got it anyway. I can't see how I will possibly have time to read it this year. I'll have to see how I go.

I liked Stonehenge a lot, but a lot more disliked it. If it wins, the feedback will no doubt be varied.

I'll have to go into it with open eyes and if there is love story I am going to have to tough it out.
I read the first couple pages of Pure and it reads great. Kind of a pity it lost for the second time in the poll. Must be due to the macabre context. Maybe I should have put it in the October poll...for Halloween.
Oh well, too late now.
Pure sounds awesome to me. I voted for Lionheart only because that's the only one of the two that I could get ahold of. I probably won't get to it though, as I'm going to read Stonehenge...win or lose. I'm going to keep trying to track down Pure.
