question
Of Stephenie Meyer's books, which one is better? Twilight or The Host?

I personally prefer The Host because I love reading it and it is very interesting. I admire Stephenie Meyer because I don't know how she came up with such brilliant stuff. She has an awesome imagination.

This is a really difficult question lol because it was Twilight that made me read books in the first place - first fave book. But I absolutely LOVE The Host and I hope that she's planning a sequel!!! (That ending!!!! ahhhh) I would say Twilight, because that was the book I first loved, but The Host is a good second! :)
I have to say The Host!
I totally fell in love with Wanderer and all the characters xx

I would vote for "The Host".
Wish the author would release a sequel.

I liked twilight but I loved the host and loved the concept behind it was so interesting to me especially the love triangle.
I could barely get through Twilight. Bella irritated me to no end. So the Host would be my choice. Hands down.
The Host. It's so disappointing that because the movie didn't fair well Meyers had indefinitely put the sequel on hold.
Hated Twilight, loved the Host. So glad I picked it up despite my dislike for the author.
I loved the Host and didn't feel like the main character was so naive and dumb as Bella was. However, the movie absolutely sucked imo.

i think both are equally the best i still have to read the second book of the host yet
I absolutely loved this book.... until about halfway in when it changed from a really good sci-fi into a bad high school bf/gf drama. I never finished it. The movie is worse. I never finished that, either.
The Host definitely! It has a completely different plot and message, I just wish the movie was as closely tied to the book in terms of detail as the Twilight movies, and that it was just as popular, I do think that the movie tried too much to be its own thing and took so much of the book away and in turn resulted in this not being as known as it should have.
I really hate Twillight movies but thought i would give the books a chance. But I hated the books as much as the movie. So childish
The Host I loved :)

I think the Host is geared more toward the adult reader - highly recommend it.
The Host is amazingly well written, the plot is gripping and the characters have depth and dimension, and some real themes are conveyed.
The Twilight series is shallow, poorly planned, and the characters are archetypes, it was painful to read. That being said, it was hard to stop reading for the sole reason that I wanted to know how the saga ended.

I really don't like the twilight series at all (like I used to as I was 12) but now I can't stand it in any way. However, the host is so different than twilight in my opinion I can hardly believe it is the same author and I really fell in love with the book and read it multiple times. I just love the storyline and the characters. I almost would say it is one of my favourite books
I would definitely say The Host. Don't get me wrong the Twilight Series was good but, I personally love the hosts coming from space and entering human bodies better than vampires and werewolves fighting over a girl.
I think The Host because it's such a unique plot and it also shows her writing skills more than Twilight.

I definitely would say The Host. I liked it waaay better than her Twilight series.
The Host by miles, just wish she would finish the trilogy. If she didn’t have an outline for a trilogy why say it?
I'd like to say that Twilight wasn't better, but it definitely was. I tried to read The Host, but honestly couldn't finish the book. As much as I loved the idea of The Host (the concept is truly innovative and exciting), the fact remains that is was not very developed (in my opinion). Yes, I understand that Bella's character is very unlikable to some and that Edward, to some, seems very overprotective, but that just means that the character have some depth to them and are not in the least bit flat. I had an extremely difficult with the characters in The Host, relating to them and understanding their story.
This is why I vote Twilight all the way :)

Have you ever been in love? Or at least thought you were? That's a pretty good relation to the book. What about Twilight? How do you relate to that? A

the host all the way, although it has waaaaaaaaaay too many chapters for my liking. 59 chapters!!!
Well from all the Twilight books the one I loved best was my favorite, but the HOST really got under my skin and I loved it very very much. So in this vampires versus aliens discussion, this time I side up with aliens lol. I just loved Wanderer...
I must say that I preferred the Host to the Twilight series. I found the plot of the Host to be incredibly unique. I have never read anything quite like it. It may not be the best book I have ever read but I thoroughly enjoyed it and would recommend it to fans of stories with romance and an interesting premise!
