June 2012 Mini-Challenge

Sorry I'm a couple days late getting this up. I try to remember on June 1st, but had a little boys birthday party to organize and I got behind. I had to find a way to make him, per request, a General Lee cake (from The Dukes of Hazzard).

Based on holidays, silly or otherwise. Read as many or as few as you'd like.

June is Fight the Filthy Fly Month. Don't ask me where they came up with this one. lol Read a book that has any word starting with "F" somewhere in it's title, or the author's first or last name starts with "F".

June 1st - is Flip a coin day. So choose two books, say oldest on your TBR list (tails) and the newest on your TBR list (heads), flip a coin, and let the coin choose which book you read.

June 9 - is my parents Golden Wedding Anniversary. Read any book with a wedding or anniversary in it, "Golden", "Wedding", or "Anniversary" or "50" in the title, or a cover photo that depicts anything related to a wedding in it (wedding cake, wedding dress, etc.)

June 23rd - is National Pink Day. Read a book with pink somewhere on the cover, or is mentioned in the title.

June 28th - is Paul Bunyan Day Read a book over 400 pages, because Paul Bunyan was a BIG (ie Tall) man, or read a book with a blue cover, in honor of his blue ox, or read a book with a character named "Paul" in it.

I'm very lienent. If you can justify it, I usually let you get away with it. It's got pink somewhere, so go for it. :)

It's always interesting to me to go back near the end of the month and see what everyone's come up with to read for the month to fill in the categories. I usually try to avoid the traditional holidays that come up to get more creative with the wacky holidays as it gives us more reading options usually.
