Keeping with the common thread, I'm heading for a place with the best weather in the world (if you like sun and warmth). Today Adele and I fly from Sydney to Honolulu to move to Oahu permanently! We're crazy busy packing and getting ready, and yet I couldn't stay away from Goodreads (my addiction). LOL! But better get back to packing!

Thanks all!! I'm sure I'll find plenty of inspiration here! I wrote The Star Dwellers on a previous trip here on Waikiki Beach. I ended up frying my laptop because I sat in the sun on the beach to write the book. But I finished the book first!

For my sister's wedding several years ago, they went to a resort in Mexico and eloped (kind of!) When they got back, my mom and I threw a big surprise party, with the them of "Luau" I found Darryl the most ridiculous shirt at Goodwill and made him wear it, it has this half naked girl on the back in a grass skirt. He ended up LOVING it, and wears it quite often in the summer! LOL

I'll post a few pics, it was over 100 degrees F with a 90% humidity that day, so we all look a little like melted frosting hehe

I can't find the one that shows the back of that shirt, but here Darryl and I are!

LOL I'm SO stressed! So many things to do plus the writing gig and the time is already flying by. Adele had to take me down to the beach to get me to relax for an hour. Our first thing to do is to get all the paperwork and support pulled together for Adele's immigration papers (green card). Then we have to find a permanent place to live. And we have dozens of other To Dos that are relatively urgent...I'm freaking out! *takes deep breath* One task at a time...

Ooh Cozumel, nice!! That'll be AWESOME :) I can't wait till we're all settled and can spend some serious time on the beach, which is so close and yet seems so far!

lucky you Karen!! spring break for the kids is coming up in a few weeks, I'm thinking of taking them to Storm Lake for a day. they have a fun indoor water resort there and its only 2 hours away!!

I guess we are going to wait on the resort until summer, because the kids really want to do all the "outdoor" stuff--they have a huge outdoor water park, and its on a lake, so boating and swimmming, fishing, golf, etc.

So...what to do, what to do! I may just end up taking Tessa for a day trip. I'll have to ask her what she wants to do!

Thanks for the confidence booster Shauna!!! We got a bunch done yesterday, almost ready to mail Adele's immigration papers, that will be a huge relief :) Then we have to find a permanent place to live!

Update on book stuff: I'm finally going to publish a new book! It's called Slip and it'll be released on June 16th. The cover should be revealed soon(ish). I'm so excited!!
