Venus is book #16 in Ben Bova's Grand Tour series.

They are only loosely linked so reading most of them out of order is not a problem. They are all about space exploration in the solar system.

Kate O'Hanlon (kateohanlon) | 778 comments I'm reading Ars Memoriae. It's some for of alt history steampunky fin de siecle thing where Ireland is a global superpower, which I would be able to enjoy more if Bernonich had called it Éire instead of Éireann.
That's going to bug me if I don't get a proper explanation.

But it does have very pretty Vincent Chong cover art Ars Memoriae (Éireann Series, #1) by Beth Bernobich

Aloha | 919 comments Pausing at the halfway point on Gödel, Escher, Bach: An Eternal Golden Braid to read Aunt Julia and the Scriptwriter. It won as the July selection for the Nobel forum, and I'm leading the discussion. Time to speed read! Anything after GEB is easy reading.

David Sven (gorro) | 1582 comments Finished Leviathan Wakes. A quick easy read which I hadn't expected to finish before it officially started.

My Review http://www.goodreads.com/review/show/...

Now reading the next book in the series Caliban's War

Aloha | 919 comments Great review, David. It looks like the book wouldn't be my type of book, though. It helps me in deciding whether to read it or not. Thank you.

It is a little on the light side compared to some of the stuff I see you reading.

Aloha | 919 comments Yup. No Godel, Escher, or Bach in it. :o)

Kevin Xu (kxu65) | 1081 comments Yeah, I did not like Silver Spike as much as all the other because it was sort of a side story.

Jenny (Reading Envy) (readingenvy) | 2898 comments I started Leviathan Wakes tonight.

Jim, we have a problem.

Jenny (Reading Envy) (readingenvy) | 2898 comments Ha, well now I'm taking a break 100 pages in to read the Hugo nominated novellas. Phew, they are pretty heavy so far.

Thanks Andrew! I was not aware of that.

I started it last night, too! Right after I finished "Redshirts" (which I really liked). So far not so bad.
