You want to read: I am trying to remeber the title of a book I read as a child.Its an older book most likely written in the 80s.

The maincharacter is a girl who comes from an tropical island,but she was sent away for a while. The girl has webbing between her fingers (and toes?)

Her mother is/was a mer-human who returned to her peoples underwater city.The girl cant follow her there because she is too much human and cant breathe too long underwater.

The girl also has an older sister who is very beautiful.

There are dolphins in it too. I would really like to find out what the title of this book is..its driving me nuts!
