Hi Shona, Kathryn and Jamie,I apologise, my notifications didn't tell me anyone has posted messages in here.
I've now added you all to the Google+ event for tomorrow. If you see the invite, just respond to let us know if you're coming or not.
I've also added you all to our Google+ Community, it's your choice if you accept that.
To attend tomorrow all you have to do is have Google+ open in your browser tomorrow night at 9pm EST (8pm QLD) and accept the invitation when it opens up.
We run the group as a first comes bases as there is only 10 spots in the Hangout. We will be broadcasting live and I'll post the link here, in Google+ and Facebook for those who would like to just watch.
If you'd like to watch and join through chat I'd suggest adding me on Skype. There is no chat feature for non video people (this would be you Kathryn if you don't want to be on video) so you'll need to add me on Skype, my username is Greengiraffe10.
If you're finding this at all confusing feel free to ask questions I'm happy to help and will keep a closer eye out incase you post here or anywhere.

Question-if I'm free that night for the upcoming hangout, what do you suggest I need?The only web cam I have is on my laptop, and I have a microphone/headset. But I've had the headset for a couple years now and its a bit dodgy. Is there another way I could do it?
I have earphones, but what can I do about audio (so I can speak to you guys)?

Hi Oliva,
If your laptop has a webcam then there is usually a microphone built in with it. Does that not work?
Alternatively you can just join the chat room and watch the hangout as some others do.
If you'd like to run a test I'd be happy to meet you online one evening.

Have you checked to see if your earphones have a built in mic? The ones I got with my iphone have and that's what I use. They're not fabulous but they do the job.

Hi Everyone,Just a reminder if you haven't added me on Skype already it would be a good idea to do it for tomorrow night. There is a chance we're going to have a full room based on numbers who have accepted which means it will be based on a first come first served as to who gets in.

Hey all! I'm completely new, I only found the VF hangouts on youtube last night! So naturally I haven't even read anything.. I have exams next week but after that I will be doing some serious reading and hopefully can join in on a chat. This genre sounds super fascinating to me even though I've never read anything from it - so this will be very interesting to a noob like myself! Big Felicia fan!

Yes, I'd love an invite to the VF Down Under group too! I just started reading this months VF book, last exam is monday and then I should have it finished soon after then once I can just focus on the book :) I'm a pretty fast reader!
